For any of my spoonies out there also struggling through this crazy time with very little support and understanding... For those operating at a level of pain that able-bodied people wouldn’t be able to get out of bed with, let alone fathom, because there simply is no other choice... For those trying to navigate through these insane times, doing your best to stay safe, terrified of other people’s choices and lack of consideration & care for others… For those not currently able to access treatments & procedures or even see their doctors due to restrictions, challenges and the red tape in place… For those financially struggling due the cost of their treatment/meds, and those forced to work and put themselves at risk to pay for said treatments and meds… You’re not alone. The last two years have been ROUGH AS HELL, and the idea of going into a new year with even more uncertainty and fear is SO daunting and intimidating. You’ve got this! Even if today/lately you haven’t been your best, there’s always tomorrow to work towards it. It’s hard at the moment for everyone, let alone those with the challenges you have, so be a little kinder to yourself and allow yourself some grace… If possible, find a pace that is functional for you and set boundaries, as you know, people really don’t understand what you’re going through and how much it takes to appear “normal”. APMA is an excellent resource if you’re ever in need. Reach out to them and start a convo; vent, ask questions, learn about options you may not have known about that are open to you, find a community or become a well informed a lone wolf if that is how you deal. I have no affiliation with them, but have made contact a few times and found the resources very helpful. Reach out. Hell, reach out to me… I will get back to you. I’m not always on here and am doing my best to simply get through the end of this year, but always have an open ear and heart.
