Georgie knew that was a lie. It was obvious from the look on her face that Florence wished Georgie would pack her things and leave the island immediately. “Yeah…” she said, agreeing regardless. After everything. She repeated in her head. “That’s great,” she replied. “I’m sure he’s happy having you around again, maybe.” She shouldn’t have come here in the first place, definitely not to the event, but maybe not even to Icaria. This was a risky move from the start. What did she think, that Florence wasn’t going to at least visit her home once in a while? It was almost laughable how naïve her thoughts were. “Listen, Flo-” Georgie swallowed. “Please don’t leave again. I’ve been here a year and haven’t seen you, maybe we can just go on like that. I won’t come to any more of these, especially one that’s hosted by your family. I just don’t want to make it seem like you have no where else to go when this is your home.”
“He’s happy I’m home, that’s for sure. I don’t think he trusts me out in the real world.” Florence was sure that her heartbeat could be heard by the the girl standing across from her, as it was deafening in her own ears. She really was trying her best to keep her composure, but she was certain that she was failing miserably. All she wanted to do was be held by her arms again, to feel her lips against her. "No!” Her voice shot out before she could stop it, not wanting Georgie to go again, not wanting to ever see her again. Coughing as she regained herself, realising thats she had been staring, she forced the smile back onto her lips once more. “I’m sorry, I... “ She trailed off with a shake of her head. “I don’t want you to feel unwelcome, is all. It’s a party for everyone. You should enjoy it.”
astrid-matthews:
“Aww, I love spending time with you too,” she said, chuckling as she ran her fingers through the blonde’s hair before kissing her forehead. “It’s a good thing I like winning, then,” she said with a wink. “Don’t worry about it, I can always teach you. The fun of these games is having someone to share them with–though, it is always fun to win them. That’s always a plus.” What can she say? Her bubba raised her to have a competitive spirit. “Oh, that’s right! I haven’t since her since, well, since Weston passed. Well, if you’re still there by the time I’m through, would you mind if I joined you? Otherwise, I’d love a nice bottle, yes.”
Florence generally didn’t let anyone see her slightly softer side, but Astrid was an exception. The two had a happy little relationship, whatever it was, and she knew that she could be herself around her. “I will be a good student, and learn how to play all the games, so at least you have someone to play against and beat whilst at home.” She grinned, her eyes closing for the brief second that Astrid’s lips ghosted over her forehead. “That sounds good to me. If there’s a chance you’re coming along I’ll make sure I wear something cute.”

“Epic?” Eve asked her eyebrows shooting up as she clapped her hands together much more excited about the idea of getting to party with her sisters. “I’ve got a cute place not far from here, sorta centrally located? We could easily get everyone together and start there!” she ran a hand through her hair as her sister wrote down her number. “Oh I totally will. I need more friends here.” She took the number and ripped off a part of it and took the pen Flo had set down, “I’d just – call you right now so you had my number, but I legit left my phone sitting on my counter at home. so –” She wrote her own number down and passed it to Flo.
“Yes! That sounds amazing!” Florence nodded, really already hyped up for this Dionysus sisters party, even though it was only a mere idea at this moment in time. She watched as the number was written onto the napkin, and she took it into her hand. “How did you leave your phone at home?! I don’t go anywhere without mine.” She grinned, before tapping the number in and leaving a dropped call on Eve’s phone. “There, when you get home, save my number, and put me in your favourites.”

“Uhm. What the hell? Is he one of those guys that thinks women should wear make-up to sleep? You’re already so pretty that it kind of hurts. In a good way, I promise.” There wasn’t a lot of subtlety when it came to Yona. It probably wasn’t strictly helping when she said things like that, but she was finding more and more reasons to hate this awful ear man. “Always. Even when they don’t fall for it, I’m happy to be a colossal waste of their time. This one, though… Should I do more things to him for being that much of a tool?”
“See, this is why I love you - you get me.” Florence replied with a bright grin on her lips, and she leaned back against the wall behind her, crossing her arms over her chest. “Men like that have no place in our company. No-one does, actually. We are beautiful, no matter make up or not.” She beamed. “Oh, whatever you want to do to him, do it babe. Anything.”
Even though Luke had been home for a few months now, only recently did he feel safe again. It was a weird feeling to come back to Icaria after being gone so long, missing so much, and those feelings definitely found their outlet in Luke’s temper lately. This was apparent tonight as he held the man at his throat against the wall. He’d tried being professional at first, simply asking the idiot to leave the patron they’d ben harassing alone. When they refused, however, Luke sought other means of persuasion. “Now tell them you’re sorry… or you’ll be spending the night in lock up,” he offered through semi gritted teeth. As he released the man who fell and mumbled an apology before running off, Luke turned to the person then, “You alright?”
@icariastarters
“LUKE!” Florence was shouting at the policeman over the drum of the music behind them, doing her best to pull him away from the guy that he had pinned to the wall, but was failing miserably. The policeman was known around the island, and sure she’d had a run in with him once or twice before when she’d been caught out in precarious positions, but she had never seen him like this before. He was always so calm and collected, and she let her mouth open and close like a fish for a moment, before then pointing at finger at him. “Okay, whilst I thank you for for that, someone needs to work on their anger issues, okay babe?”

This entire conversation, her being here in front of the woman, was probably hurting Florence even more than she was letting on. Knowing her from the time they were together, Georgie could tell she was trying to hold in her emotions. “That…makes a lot of sense,” she replied, watching her ex’s eyes trail to the floor, refusing to look at her. “Icaria’s your home.” Icaria had come to be something of a home for her in the past year as well, but not nearly so as it would be for Flo. Whereas her family and business was here, it seemed everything that didn’t want Georgie here was in Icaria. “I…” she attempted to think of a good reason. “Aphrodite told me about it and I thought it would be…you know. A good place to get away. Um. How long have you been here?”
“Yeah...” Florence rarely found herself speechless, but right now that was all that she could say. Seeing Georgiana in front of her once again after her heart had been broken had shaken her to her very core, and honestly, had made her feel a little sick. She’d come back here to ensure that she got away from the woman, and now, she was here too. Would she have to run away again? “Ah, yes, your mother. That was nice of her, to send you here.” Was all she could say, nodding as she tried to still get it into her mind that the woman that she had had loved was standing in front of her once again. “I came back after... well, everything... I’ve stayed here, with Eli.”

Wracking his brain, Theo’s plans with Flo flooded back to his memory. “I’m sorry, Flo,” he whined, a pout appearing on his face, preparing to grovel. Flo’s reaction was the opposite of what he anticipated. Although, he certainly wasn’t complaining. “I will be two minutes,” he declared, as he bolted into his bedroom. Theo emerged several moments later with his swimming trunks in hand, wearing the fanciest shirt and pair of pants he owned. “Can I put these in your bag?” He asked, his eyes drifting down to Flo’s handbag. “Geez, is that Tinkerbelle’s bag? How do you fit anything in that?”
Florence giggled as Theo bolted from the sofa and into his bedroom, and when he returned she wolf whistled. “Well, well, well! Look at you all scrubbed up!” She beamed, before then taking out her hand to take the trunks from him. “Women’s handbags need to be big so that we can carry all of the baggage that men give us.” She teased, before turning on her heel. “Now come on, let’s get moving so we can spend as much time in the sun as possible. Don’t tell Eli, by the way!”

Blake didn’t usually find herself at Supernova or out anywhere of the nature very often. However, she tried to make an effort to get out more. If only to not seem like a shut in to her friends and siblings. Being approached by someone surprised Blake though and she found her cheeks heating up with the compliment. “Oh, you don’t have to buy me a beverage. It was just a Coke.” She said, smiling graciously nonetheless. “You’re of course welcome to sit next to me. I don’t often come here so I don’t know many people here.”
“A coke or not, it’s still empty.” Florence replied with a smile, and she ordered herself a glass of a nice red wine, a rioja - well, she was at a winery of course. Having perched down on the seat besides the brunette, she turned towards her, crossing one slender leg over the other, her flirtatious smile still present on her lips. “You should come here more often, it’s a lovely place to drink. I’m Florence by the way, but everyone calls me Flo. Who might you be?”

Romeo felt awkward being naked in front of somebody he clearly doesn’t know about. Even if he knew her he wouldn’t remember due to his amnesia, his hand kept covering up his intimate parts, as his cheek blushed when Flo stared at him. ❛ Look… I just — how about you find me any trousers? shorts, dress, skirt anything! So I can cover my half body, s'il vous plaît mademoiselle! ❜ He hated how he implored her. Fucking ghosts! Why they were little shit and disappeared with his actual clothes?
“All right, all right.” Florence chuckled, and she went into the house and found a pair of Eli’s jogging bottoms and a t-shirt. They looked about the same size, and she went back out into the garden and chucked them at him. “There you go gorgeous, put those on and cover yourself up. Can I ask why you’re in my garden in the first place, and also where your clothes have disappeared to? Not that I mind of course..”
luciferpens:
“Please drag me around, I still haven’t found a ton of fun things to do between work and uh – well the chaos that’s been happening lately.” Eve couldn’t help but smile more when she saw how excited Flo was. The squeal made her laugh “Yeah! Another sis! I love Mac she’s chaotic and fun! I sadly don’t know Nova as well but! I’m so happy to meet another sister.” She said leaning into the touch slightly “We should have a sister night soon, get us all together and have dinner and a drink.” She couldn’t help but laugh at the keg comment and nodded her head, “Totally, love it Besides, it’d be nice to have your number for no other reason than to catch up and hang out. I don’t have – any other siblings so it’s just you girls which is more than enough and I just – wanna get to know you all more.”
“You got it. I have some epic places that I go to party.” Florence replied, a mischievous smile on her lips as she was mentally jotting down all of the places that she could take her new sister for a night out. “Yes, oh my god yes we should! We haven’t done that before, not since new people keep appearing anyway, so that would be a great idea!” If her sisters were anything like her, then they’d all have an amazing time when they got together. “Here, take my number down.” she spoke, picking up a napkin from besides them and grabbing a pen from a nearby waiter, scribbling it down as quickly as she could. “It’s hard to be a stranger on this island, because everyone knows just about everyone, but make sure you text me.”
@flo-roman
“Do you remember that guy with the ear tattoo on his ear that you sent over to me for a little… sales opportunity?” Yona smirked, imagining that it would be difficult to forget a guy like that. Throwing her hands out a little in excitement, she announced, “He’s just become a repeat customer! I told him about my new ‘subscription service’ where if he sends me payment on this app, I’ll leave his stuff in a discrete location. I don’t have to see him anymore. Plus he left a review!”
“Duh! Of course I remember him. He’s the that told me that I’d be pretty if I dyed my hair and used more eyeliner.” Flo replied, screwing up her nose for a moment as she thought back to that horrible moment - he had been wrong, of course. “Girl, you are a legend, you know that right? I knew there was a reason I loved you and send people in your direction.”
myhearthealing:
“Oh, ah, okay. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.” The Romans did own a lot of things here on the isle. Georgie was usually someone who was very confident in herself and her actions, but at the moment, all that confidence had seemed to disappear. She nodded her head at Florence’s words, forcing a small smile while feeling like she wanted more than anything to turn and bolt out the door and get on the first plane out of here. “Wow, so…” Georgiana tried to force herself to find the words. Make this conversation as polite as possible while dying inside over seeing the woman she loved once upon a time. “What-how long have you been back here in Icaria?”
Florence had never loved someone before the way that she did Georgie. There had been something between them that was more than just love, or chemistry - it was electricity, and she’d never felt that since her heart had been broken by the woman standing in front of her. She could feel her heart beat in her ears, her throat was going dry and her stomach was in knots. “I came back...” She trailed off, her eyes casting down to the ground as she admitted to her ex that after everything that had gone on with them, she’d just run back home to the safety of Eli, and Icaria. “H-How about you, how ... why are you here?”
divine-conquer:
Hearing her scream only fueled Eli’s laughter, almost in tears at watching her panic. There weren’t too many times they tormented each other like this, but when they happened it was a gem… this time at least for Eli. “Oh I’m the meanie? Okay. Hey, that’s payback for hijacking my hot tub,” he teased with a tongue out as he moved towards the window. “Oh my god, i’m going i’m going,” he groaned playfully as he opened the window with one hand and released the little fella out with the other. “Are you happy your highness?”
“Hey! I distinctly remember that I asked to borrow the hot tub that night, and,” Florence punctuated her words as she watched her brother move over to the window and toss the spider out, as far away from her possible, and she picked up her drink from the bedside cabinets, “I’m pretty sure it’s your job as older brother to remove the spiders from this house.” She replied, settling back down onto her face, and letting that smile that was always on her face slowly come back. “Thank you. No attitude next time please, okay?” She teased.
❛ Listen... I can explain this… ❜
@icariastarters
“Oh no, no need to explain anything.” Flo mused, looking the man up and down with a cheeky grin on her lips. “I don’t mind at all.”
