“What, me? Sure. So I guess we’re friends now huh? I must warn you, once I befriend someone, I never let them go.” Carter grinned at the blonde girl he had started to fall for the past few weeks.

Flora smiled shily. “I wouldn’t want you to.”

“Sooo... there’s a birthday party for Kim tonight. Are you coming with me? It’s a date,” Derek said.

“Ohh, a date?” Flora smiled.

“Oh, absolutely, I’d be happy to! She’s my best friend!” she beamed with happiness.

Keeping you safe || Carter & Flora

Who: Carter & Flora

Where: The warehouse

What: Carter has Flora kidnapped at the warehouse after she found out Mr Reed is alive. After she starts delusionating from being there so long, she starts to panic. Carter tries to calm her down and ends up kissing her.

Flora: "Please don't hurt me," Flora said, her body shaking. "I want- ... I want-" She wanted Derek so bad, but she couldn't remember his name. Even his face was slipping out of her memory. As the unfamiliar man held her shoulders, she let out a panicking cry, something she didn't seem to get out of.

Carter: Carter shook his head. “I would never hurt you.” He said in a gentle tone. It was true he would never want to cause her any harm. Carter moved his hand to the side of her face and gently moved a few stray hairs away from her face. “If you trust me you’ll be okay.” He gave her a kind smile. Even in her panicked state she was still so beautiful yet fragile. He brushed his thumb against her lower lip. “You know even when you’re upset you’re still absolutely beautiful.” Before he could stop himself he gave her a soft kiss on her beautiful lips.

Flora: She wanted to believe the man would never hurt her, and somehow he didn’t feel dangerous, but she couldn’t get over the fear that made her body shiver. “I don‘t even know who you are,” she cried. Was he her kidnapper? Was he her savior? "W-what’s your name?” she asked again. She couldn’t trust him without a name. She didn’t look away when his thumb touched her lips, nor when his lips met hers. Feeling the soft kiss on her skin, she got quiet as automatically her lips opened a little, returning his kiss.

Carter: Carter moved his hands through Flora’s hair and deepened their kiss. He pressed his body against hers. He momentarily pulled away. “Carter. That’s my name.” He whispered into her ear. “Do you trust me now?” He asked as he looked into her eyes.

Flora: Flora made a soft sound to feeling his hands in her hair. The hair she remembered him cutting because of the blood that had gotten in it. And as she returned the pressure of her lips against him, answering his kiss, she felt like he wasn't a bad person. "Carter," she repeated. She looked at him with no recognition. "I am ..." Her name was of the tip of her tongue, but his other question was easier. "I don't know why you're here, but I think you're a good person, Carter."

Carter’s heart sank when he saw Flora crying. It was weird for him because normally he cared very little for other people. Flora definitely had an effect on him. “Hey.. don’t cry I’m not going to hurt you.” He placed his hands tenderly on her shoulders and looked into her eyes. “I want you to look at me. Does it seem like I want to hurt you?”

When the man placed his hands on her shoulders, she tried to shove back in her chair to get away from him. “No, no, no, no,” she cried while she tried to avoid his gaze. When he asked her if it looked like he wanted to hurt her, she didn’t know the answer. Did he? “Please don’t hurt me-” she said, shaking under his touch. “I, I want-... I want-” She tried to remember the name of her friend, but she wasn’t sure. Der? Was that his name? “I knew it, I knew it but I forgot. Who is he? I know who he is,” she said, not making sense to him at all as she tried to remember Derek’s name.

Flora didn’t know what day it was. Not even what hour. It was like there was no sunlight here in this basement or whatever it was. The young girl wasn’t looking well and seemed to black out every now and then, but when someone entered the room, her eyes shot up. When she saw the man approaching her, she started crying. “No, no, please, leave me alone,” she said with fear in her eyes, even though the man had done nothing yet.
