hello and welcome mutuals, 👋

i did my absolute best to follow mutuals that I vibe with and are close friends with. if you follow me and expect me to follow you back, it might take a while. however, if you reach out to me in my old blog @/floralcalaveraa that you are anti-harassment / pro-fiction friendly, chances are I’ll quickly follow back. in short terms, you are okay/mind your business with whatever an individual roleplays, from taboo and problematic content in fiction. no, you will not see this content from me, but i don’t mind if you do partake in it, i don’t mind rping with those that do, and i want to follow mutuals that don’t show disdain for it or don’t behave morally righteous over fiction.

if you just followed me back, read the intro, and are uncomfortable with this liberty im allowing, simply block me / unfollow. (i recommend blocking because i can be forgetful and don’t want to seem like im constantly pursuing you.)

with that intro out of the way, i will settle down with a light-hearted tone hereon out in this post: hello and welcome mutuals that decided to stay and continue to interact with me 👋

i know i can be too hard to handle sometimes (in terms of this being my 3rd blog for guzma) im a disorganized individual and it took me many trials and errors to finally fix myself in place, but i think this is going to be my last time i make any more blog moving. I had 500 followers from my first blog of guzma, to 111 followers on my second, to 10 followers as im writing this. i intend on keeping it this way, i have absolutely no interest in having a big gathering. im here to roleplay with those that matter to me the most.

i only decided to follow around 20 roleplayers in total, this small pool being my closest friends, those that give the impression that they are open-minded and anti call-out/cancel culture, and those that i genuinely enjoy seeing in my dashboard. ( if you know anyone that shares my mind-set in terms of fiction, pls don’t feel afraid to recommend them to me! and i can reach out to them :-) )

Another thing I’ll mention is that I will do my best to salvage some unanswered asks/threads in this blog! (There are some beautiful asks that I never got to answer to but I will here in case anyone was worried about that!) Threads will be transferred here and I will make another post sometime later about my thread tracker and do my best to work on headcanons for Guzma. (These where things i kept procrastinating in my previous blog-)

Modern fandom went awry when people stopped learning how to avoid content that upsets them and instead starting actively seeking it out.

I mean this in the kindest, most loving way possible, but babes you'll be so much happy when you stop focusing on what other people are doing and instead focus on what you like.

You'll never be able to stop people from liking what you hate, and the best way you'll find any peace of mind is properly utilizing blocking, blacklisting, and muting tools. Take it from someone who used to run a shipping discourse blog, fandom is supposed to be what you enjoy, stop focusing on things that upset you.

if you like or enjoy something mildly popular, LITERALLY ANYTHING AT ALL, there will be a massive backlash to it about 2-3 years in the future where it’s suddenly derided as bad and cringe to like. inevitably. your interests are not immune to it. at a certain point you really have to just not worry about that culture and enjoy your interests anyway

teens love stuff passionately, but also regard anything they loved a couple years previously as terrifically embarrassing, and feel like it’s a mark of their new maturity that they’ve ‘grown out’ of liking whatever that thing was.

ten years later they will come back and either go ‘haha yeah that stuff wasn’t very good i suppose’ OR they will go ‘you know what? i was fourteen and i was right.’

life and blog update - ̗̀  ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ  ̖́-

hey i hope you all are doing okay! i’m still in that ~soul searching~ journey, trying to enhance my drawing abilities more often than not. (I wish I can show progress; I think I developed a coloring style I enjoy, maybe next time-) I’ve been busy invested in Other Fandoms™ while the hype for Legends Arceus is high so as to not get spoiled until I play it for myself.

And now that life update is out of the way, I have but one big blog update; remember my obnoxious wall of text that was my rules page? Well, I tried to condense it (I hope i did OTL) that you can check out here. But I will paste it here regardless for your convenience and that you don’t have to go after the link :-) (I added one new one!) I tried to sound friendly this time because i felt .. strict before? I like the mood i went for in my rules this time around!

This blog is private but not selective. I intend to spend my time here with close friends and thread with those that show enthusiasm for wanting to roleplay with me. Having a huge gathering affects my mental well-being is all OTL (Non-mutuals can still send me asks and roleplay, eventually, we will become mutuals this way ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ ) Personals and Mains do not reblog any of my content. This not only disrupts the order of my notifications such as threads, but it also causes my posts to create traction from outside the roleplay community. I may comment “♡” instead of liking your post. Particularly dash games I am tagged in or results. This is because I want my likes reserved for headcanons, aesthetics, and other important matter dedicated to me. Crossover friendly. Believe me, I know the feeling of wanting to talk to unique characters despite the fandoms being far apart. If your muse’s fandom is not listed here, please do not feel discouraged. Headcanon: Guzma’s Child

The following is a headcanon written in a theoretical scenario. This headcanon is not applicable in his canon universe. Inspired by the mechanics of Fire Emblem: Awakening and Fates.

Profile Océane is the daughter of Guzma if he achieves high affinity with a significant other. She can be an older sister should her father’s partner have offspring. She bears a strong resemblance to her maternal great-grandmother, Selena Reyes, such as her dark skin and long black hair. While Océane’s appearance is dependent on her father and her maternal great-grandmother, she will inherit the eye color of Guzma’s partner. Born on July 1.

Personality Open-minded and forgiving, Océane is a golden-hearted soul, accepting the ugly and beauty in everything. Because of her father’s past --that he does not hide away, most especially to her--, she is quick to be understanding and patient of the upbringing of others. Her father’s past (and potentially his partner’s background) makes her especially generous to those that endure the short end of the stick in life. While empathetic, she is quick to anger in moments of injustice such as discrimination and bullying. Unlike Guzma, her bouts of rage are short-lived and easier to calm; she believes they can be burdening to handle, especially to her parents that have endured so much in their lives.

Relationship with Parents Guzma would ensure that his relationship with his daughter isn’t estranged like his bond with his parents. There will be moments of fun and deep connection (such as sharing his hobbies with her, which she easily grows to enjoy), as well as deep, profound ones, the most intimate being where Guzma tells her the truth about his upbringing. Through his humor and honesty, she learns character.

With her other parent, adoptive or biological, it would not matter, she will be endlessly inspired by. Océane will be more behaved around them (because her father is one big carnival that they already have to deal with) and would feel more comfortable sharing her secrets with, especially in episodes when her emotions are too hard for her to handle on her own.

Ambitions Because of Guzma’s potential with anyone, Océane’s ambitions are an inspiration of her father’s and his partner.

She will specialize in swimming and arts like her father (particularly drawing than singing and dancing) and be disastrous, but determined, in her other parent’s main hobby.

She will be multilingual. Her primary language will be the one both of her parents default in when talking to each other. Her second language is her other parent’s mother language. Her third language will be Guzma’s mother tongue, Spanish.

Her dream occupation is Marine Biologist. It’d be inspired by her time drawing on the beach.

now that i finished asks that i got during the holidays ...

just thought i should say that i’m gonna be a bit distant all over again as this year, i want to be in touch with my artist side 🎨 and i mean like, going on this soul-searching journey kind of thing for at least a year in hopes of improving my art style :’) although, i don’t want to ditch guzma for i just recently made leaps with his blog and myself as an admin, accomplishing things after trial and error. so this is what im gonna do: i’m going to just try and create headcanon’s any time i peek here to keep his blog active still and be able to check up on you guys :-)

‘haven’t you been like this already though ulises?’ yeah but like, this time it’s asf ya know? i really, really, want to improve my art skills, just as much as i honed my rping skills. i dedicated too much time to rp, now it’s art’s turn :-)

also, i have gathered muse for another muse 🙈 like, my muse for pokemon is still there, but a new kirby game was announced and that was my Main first ever fandom i got into i love that pink orb, so ... catch me following you guys around maybe? pfff

"Before you say anything-- I know. But I wanted to give you a gift anyway,"

Goodness knows the thought of giving this specific gift to someone, let alone a friend, is already such a nerve-wracking feat for the young woman. Still, her tone is soft, and she presents to Guzma a box small enough to fit in the palm of her hand. With a careful motion, Serena dares to open it, and inside lays a gold sqaure signet ring, with a cushion cut diamond set in its centre. A pale pink one, not bought by the heroine, but instead gifted to her to give to him by a certain creature who had created it in the first place.

"Happy holidays, Guzma. It's, um... all real. Thank the dukes and duchesses at the Battle Chateau who do not know what amount 'reasonable prize money' is. The diamond comes from... a certain pokemon. Which is why it is this shade of pink. The gems they create are said to protect wearer from illness."

She keeps her words to a lower volume, but one still entirely audible to the other, as though fearing someone might be watching their interaction.

"If you'd rather have it in a different piece of jewellery, though, I can have that arranged. Or, if you need the money, I can help you sell it. I imagine it would be incredibly valuable."

                    She says she can form it differently, to exchange it for something that he needs a lot more. She gives him a gift with so much fondness and care yet --if one can be so bold to say-- disrespects the piece of jewelry. How could she suggest changing or selling what is genuine? After all, it is the generosity and craft from a pokemon; it is this entity that gives its creation the divine power of protection. Oh, Serena doesn’t understand how valuable her gift was to him, does she?

                    “Aww, were you like, talkin’ to this pokemon about me?”

He doesn’t hold back his smile, much less, hunching his already-crooked spine to have his face near the ring. It almost seemed like Serena was proposing to him. And there was a small part in Guzma that saw an opportunity to flirt during this open window. But the cultural side of him felt it disrespectful to leap for it; to Guzma, when she said that these gems ‘protect the wearer from illness’, was beyond meaningful. It sounded so spiritual, and he was glad that he was in the receiving end of an item that was so sacred. With unattended mental and physical ailments, God knows he needs all the protection he can get.

                    “Listen, Serena, I don’t need this any other way or shape or form or in a car or in a house or whatever yur gonna say, kay? I love it like this!”

His scold comes so warmly when there were words pronounced in little laughs. The ring is no longer tucked in the cushion of it’s small box, but pressed between the tips of his thumb and finger, being waved back and forth to her exaggeratedly like if he was aiming to toss it in her face. This scold isn’t to disapprove of her gift, but to tell her;

                    “I love that it’s in the form you thought about for me ... I’m not takin’ this off! Like, ever! Even if it’s gonna get rusty overtime like that? Yeah! Whatever, I won’t care. Is gonna be a part of me now-”

The ring now makes a new home in his finger. He holds his hand out, fingers splayed, with so much pride like a bride showing off her newly bought wedding ring.

                    “Well well, lucky me; my b-day be the 30th luckiest this year! Fuckin’ finally, hope my life starts turnin’ aroun’ for the better.”

He presses his thick finger on a specific line in a paper to show credibility, his birthday (7/2). While there were additional symbols that can be foreign to a non-native eye, the numbers were there and all the same. Guzma explains:

                    “Closer yer number is to bein’ first, the lucky you are for this year accordin’ to Kanto’s Luck Calendar.”

He holds the paper for the other. His grin is too unfaltering, he comes off like the most friendliest man you’d ever meet. But really, it’s because in this moment in time, he appreciates his birthday where it is convenient to his benefit.

                    “What ranking your birthday in?”

You have been blessed with a gift from Bashou! It's a book called "So You've Just Been Fired (Or Made Redundant)", full of helpful advice for people who have lost their jobs, and suggestions for how to find new purpose and direction in life. Maybe you haven't just lost your job, but you never know when this book will come in handy...

                  “ ... ”

                   Oddly knowledgeable of the hole he is stuck in, but convenient. He was a man made of rejections and loss. At the same time, determination gave him his weight to stand and not be pushed by any winds. Although, how nice would it be to have support and be able to provide for his found family with the reassurance of stability.

The exchange was silent, too silent, that if Guzma spoke, it’d interrupt the way this stranger handed him the book and he would be stabbed by the daggers that were the other’s ocean dark eyes, so mysterious like the sea of water too.

This book was long overdue for our breadwinner. Finding jobs was hard, and even harder to be able to stay in them without upsetting it’s requirements. What Guzma needed was the advice of a wiser entity than his cocky brain. This book, one that details instruction to find inner purpose and financial security, should give him the missing puzzle pieces he needed the most.

                  If only he knew how to read.

i know that i’m late, but when am i not? still, i wish you all had a great beginning this year --that you have collected ambitions, found mental peace, anything for yourself-- and that this year will end in the same note, i’m rooting for you 🥳

this post is going to be nothing more than a written resolution for myself as to what i’d love to accomplish for this year; i’ve been told to have possible resolutions, goals that i have a chance at fulfilling-- it’s different than being hopeful, i know, but it’s going to be growth nonetheless ... without further ado, here is my ...

new years resolution

practice the basics of art: im both a roleplayer and an artist. looking back, i dedicated more years to rping than drawing and i want to change that, ideally, being able to balance both. however, because i spent too much years roleplaying, and just barely last year picking up drawing again, i think i want to spend this year drawing more than writing. (as an artist, i totally skipped the basics of anatomy, perspective, color theory, and all that because i thought it was boring and spend most of my art relying on references and winging it. this time, i want to understand the basics to draw more properly)

keep writing headcanons: i personally think i have been doing a great job at this one and doing this was one of my main sources of energy to even be on this blog ... being able to write headcanons not only helps me develop guzma, but be able to have meaningful roleplays with everyone being able to learn my interpretation of guzma :’) (so if you read my headcanons at all, here is a big kiss for you: thank u sexy 💋)

draw myself and friends things: this resolution is more on the hopeful side than the plausible side. i think i did an okay-ish job with this one, but i think i can do better- it’s my love language and you guys deserve to have that one friend that draws you guys things because its such a nice feeling ... i always wished i was able to draw references for my buddies and give arts as gifts, you guys deserve that for putting up with me pff :-)

juggle muses: like the previous, this one is hopeful than plausible. maybe im speaking from an accelerated heart right now, but my current muse is laying on a different franchise from pokemon, but i dont just want to ditch guzma with how much growth and clarity i barely reached from this blog. i love that i was able to graduate from worrying about my follower count to caring for only my 20-something close friends/mutuals and being able to create headcanons so steadily. so instead of just flat out ignoring guzma until my current fandom phase dies down, i want to still be able to check up on him and all my other muses- (maybe have a schedule going on, one muse for each day of the week or something stupid like that; i only have 4 muses and i really don’t plan on adding anymore-)
