Mid-bickering, the ship experiences trouble. The aliens are panicking, and they're all but ready to leverage the lives of their 5 young Earthling hostages to get out of the solar system aliev

And then there stood Hal Jordan, Greatest Green Lantern that Ever Lived, the Man Without Fear in all his furious glory

He starts speaking in tongues at the aliens, but the aura was very much giving "Give me back those kids and then FUCK OFF from MY solar system!"

The aliens are simpering apologies as they carefully free the kids under the discerning gaze of a clearly pissed off looking Green Lantern

Dick at least thought there would be a fight, but the aliens digressed.

"We apologize sincerely, Lantern Jordan. We did not know these were your children!"

"And if they weren't? Kidnapping them is fine? 😠 They're literally babies! It is not safe for them to be away from home for so long! 😤"

"Yes sir, we are so sorry now please do not make us all explode internally..."

Okay, I got a little carried away with Olivia Rodrigo and Umeendo's new songs, so I'll share my ramblings because my muti must be asleep by now.

The three songs released so far make me think mostly about UmeTakiEndo.

In "Drope Dead," Endo is crazy about Takiishi. It's a refreshing feeling after the emptiness he feels from not getting satisfaction from his academic achievements. His love for Takiishi is his new axis for navigating the world.

But when they go to Furin, there's Umemiya, who brings back the intensity. At first, he thinks, "I want to make Takiishi fight him," but it's really, "I want to see him fight. It's such a familiar feeling." But Endo is too aware of his love for Takiishi and not very aware of what he feels for Umemiya.

Enter "The Cure," where the two have already grown closer, but Endo can't quite accept it. And for a moment, just a moment, he lets himself be drawn to the idea that Umemiya is the right path. But it doesn't last long, and since Endo gets bored easily, it's even worse. Walking away from something he longs for is truly difficult, but Endo copes with an even worse thought: "If separating from Hajime is painful, I don't even want to think about separating from Takiishi. It'll probably be a disaster."

"Bagged" is more Umemiya's way; he's willing to wait for Endo, even if it hurts him. And Endo, with his complete inability to understand people, can't see how similar that makes them both. But the difference is also very significant: Umemiya expects Endo to change because he knows it will be good for him, but Endo doesn't expect any change from Takiishi… he might not even want him to change, because that would ruin the fantasy of perfection he's created in his mind

Endo said the furthest thing from the truth, and it's completely understandable that Sakura reacted so aggressively.

Okay, Suo wasn't honest with the boys and constantly lied to them. But does that mean he wasn't their ally?

What about everything Suo did during his time at Furin? It was Suo who suggested Sakura become first-year grade captain because he believed in him. It was Suo who trained and motivated Nirei. He was seen as the brain and heart of their team, when he proved himself as the strategist during the Noroshi War.

Throughout his time at Furin, Suo supported the boys, helping them develop. He cared about their well-being and making them even stronger. If that's not behavior worthy of an ally, I don't know what is.

Suo did what he had to do and disappeared and only his disappearance should be considered betrayal. I refuse to believe that what he did while he was with the boys stemmed from malicious intent. He brought too much good to the group to be considered anything other than an ally.

I believe Suo was the strongest ally from the very beginning.

Your thoughts on Endochika?

OMG, the first question you've asked me in this format, I'm so excited!

What do I think of Endochika? It's definitely a ship I'm very fond of because it was one of the first things I discovered when I joined the fandom. I think both of them are very interesting characters individually, but the decision to introduce them as a couple first is something that drives me crazy.

I hope their relationship develops a bit more from Chika's perspective, since we've only seen Endo's story from when they first met.

But beyond that glimpse in Takiishi's past chapter, we don't have much more insight into how she perceives Endo. I hope that with Umemiya's influence, I can find more words to describe their relationship.

It's difficult for me to express myself because I've read so many different interpretations and theories about their relationship that I could spend hours thinking about what to include and what to leave out of this answer
