The Comic Itself
Very (Potentially) big news, folks. I could be completely wrong, but I might be onto a solution to one of the biggest complications for this project; using static images
Static images have already completely ruined my fun with Chapter 0, because I recently just patched up a lot of wonky dialogue and comedically-large plot holes, added sections that contribute to the overarching story, as well as updating grass (No further context will be given), but that now means 80% of the images I've made need to either be scrapped or redone
I am sincerely hoping that, if everything works as I assume it does, I'll be able to turn this from "Here's a bunch of static images in sequences that have to be remade every time I decide on a change," into "Here's characters on a background that can move in animations, and dialogue boxes that can appear and change and all that fancy stuff, and items that you can click on to interact with instead of a boring-ass (By comparison) dialogue box below the panel itself, and redoing one character's sprites won't require remaking every single freaking image they're in."
For the record, it's gonna be really embarrassing if this ends up not working and I have to go back to static images, but I'm hoping to God that I'll be able to do this, even if I have to go insane while doing it
I am very truly sorry for how goddamn long it's taking to finish Chapter 0 for all of you to see for yourself, but I'm not gonna release something lackluster; I may as well make the wait worth it, y'know?
