I need a fic where Robin is trying to help Steve score a date with Nancy— because she’s a great friend, obviously— but it completely backfires on her. Nancy’s not interested in Steve at all but she’s insanely interested in Robin, flirting and being charming until Robin’s an absolute puddle. And Robin’s nothing if not stubborn so she keeps retreating to catch her breath and then diving right back in, stuttering over her third pitch on how awesome Steve is, absolutely bright red while Nancy is leaned completely into her personal space, playing with her hair or her fingers, clearly teasing her.

Steve’s got absolutely no interest in dating Nancy, Robin just assumed he did because she can’t imagine anyone not wanting Nancy. Though, he is very touched by the effort Robin is making. But ultimately he’s just patiently waiting to see how long it takes Robin to crack under the pressure.
