Real environmentalists don’t eat meat
this needs tO BE SHOUTED FROM ROOF TOPS
Friendly reminder
And i am perfectly fine cutting out meat once someone makes it easier and more accessible to go without. I have to eat red meat almost daily, in order to keep my iron balanced. i dont have the ability to go out and buy enough cashews to substitute for it.
You may be interested to know that most of the cheapest sources of iron are vegan, healthy and widely available, including lentils, oatmeal, cereals, potatoes, chickpeas, spinach, beans, collard greens, flaxseed, rice and corn. These foods are high in iron and far cheaper per lb than even the most inexpensive red meat; especially when bought in bulk.
there’s something comforting in the fact that nothing’s really permanent. that no matter what i’m going through, who i am, what i think, what’s happening around me, it can always change. maybe good times don’t last, but at least bad times don’t last either. maybe i’m unsatisfied with who i am, but i’m not stuck that way.
when someone loves you - really loves you - treat them gently. text your best friend back when you can. tell your mother you noticed her haircut and that she was right about that recipe. tell your grandfather that the boats in his bottles are the best things you’ve ever seen. be good to the people who are good to you. it’s the least you can do.
When I look up at the stars, they look back at me. It seems we are both the same; made of stardust and shimmering hope.

I sometimes wish that grown human beings were more like children, who are naturally open and accepting of others. Instead, as we grow up, we fail to nurture our natural potential and our sense of fundamental human values. We need to learn to distinguish emotions like anger and attachment that are destructive from positive ones like compassion that are a source of happiness.

if you see someone being interrupted in a conversation, acknowledge them, don’t let them be pushed to the side. if you see someone lagging behind, walk beside them. if someone is being ignored, take the step to include them. always remind people of their worth. it hurts when it feels like you’re being forgotten. that small gesture can mean a lot.
kinda wanna cuddle, kinda wanna stick my hands in your pants
