little life update

im alive but i was working my ass off to get into another academy so it makes me half-alive. fortunately it paid off but i still have lots of shit to do soooo

turns out if you do nothing but draw/design all day long you listen to a lot of music. and listening to a lot of music leads you to rediscovering bands you were obsessed with during preteen years. which gets you back in, and i'm afraid to spell that word, bandom. what is worse, not only dudes with guitars occupy your mind rent free, but they're also an active band, which simply makes your mind explode (and again, you don't even get your rent money)

sadly i have no inspiration for sims rn (of course i still love the franchise deeply but i had no time to play the game which was my main inspiration for fanarts besides tumblr). i have like 1 old ass wip (you'll never guess: another crossover!!!) but idk if i ever finish it but i'll try. maybe i will get back to simsposting, maybe not. life is unpredictable!!!

i rarely opened the app for the past 6 months but it warms my heart that people are still interacting with my art. thank you guys!! please don't get scared if i start posting emos

Nervous Subject in a ....weird drawing I did! -^^-

Love this sim and his aestethic so I infused this illustration with a strange - grunge - distressed vibe because I wanted to capture his tumultuous emotions. I hope it reads like that though... :))

I kind of like the secound version, I played with some filters to get the strange colors, it was fun.

i thought the only thing standing in my way in terms of halloween drawings was motivation and depression.... i never predicted that i'd just get tired of it lol. free me.

these are about my twilightville au eheh... basically the capps (cappulas) are vampires, the montys (muttagues) are werewolves, and the summerdreams (somberdreams) are the same pretty much but slightly more emo ig. i haven't decided if their silly twilight names are actually canonized in their world or if it's just some silly codename for me to call them… anyway yap time.

the capps and montys were cursed by the fae many years ago to try to quell their feud (which, in this au, spans more generations than in my normal lore/canon), turning them into creatures of the night. however, a side effect of the spell was 'eternal twilight' over veronaville; essentially they still experience a full day-night cycle but twilight is what constitutes the day period, so these guys never really see the sun.

EDIT: i FORGOT that it wasn't the creature spells that had that side effect, but the spell that sent the clans to sleep for a century. an explanation: Contessa, consort (human), and pat were born in the late 18th century. to the fae's relief, the capp-monty feud had settled down a bit since the last generation's reign, but silly contessa and pat end up fighting over consort's affections (lowkey reminds me of something...) until contessa inevitably wins by turning him into a vampire. time goes on, they establish their families, however the feud is still going strong. the fae – specifically oberon this time – in a last-ditch effort to cease the clan war, send them to sleep for 100 years. This is what causes the ~twilight effect~. btw the feud Did Not Stop if you couldn't tell lmao also, everyone wakes up in the 1930s and the third generation is born in the 60s, so yes this is an 80s au ^.^ YAY

a lack of sunlight would have insane effects on the human residents and nature and life and stuff but i haven't thought through that completely yet 😓 one idea i had was that over time the somberdreams gained more crepuscular (animal) features which is why this obie has deer antlers :)

EDIT: WRONG. oberon's antlers were an additional side effect of the sleep spell, not just exposure to twilight 🙄 me forgetting the lore i made up

Today, September 18, in Chile we are celebrating our anniversary since the First Government meeting, which helped us consolidate our country as an independent country yayy

This is not my main HC of Nervous' nationality, I only have this HC to entertain myself and in a way to feel represented through my favorite character 🫶 Nervous feels disgusted by the empanada he is eating because the day I started this drawing I ate a horrible empanada 😭😭

I think this will be the last time I draw Chilean Nervous, RIP queen

Sadly, I received an anonymous ask months ago telling me that Nervous could not be Hispanic because of physical appearance. During Hispanic Heritage Month, we try to prove everything that is contrary to that "belief"

If you are not a Hispanic person (or non Latino), I want you to know that comments like this are racist and violate the identity of many Hispanics, no matter if they are white or not; that you pigeonhole Hispanics/Latinos with certain physical features is horrible considering that we are a region of the world full of diversity.

If you think this is exaggerated, let me tell you that it is not. Our identity is just as important as yours.
