Hello! This is my fanfic side blog! My main blog is @sunflowers-and-snowdrops
I have recovered all my stuff from my old blog so yay!! I have also finally moved into my new house!! My requests are currently closed until i get some stuff sorted out.
My header is made by @finleyjayne
You can find the icon(s) that I used in this post.
I like to reblog my favourite fanfics and fanart on my other side account @the-other-osgood as well as post moodboards, helpful writing resources and a bunch of doctor who.
I currently write for Doctor Who and Merlin, and probably will write for some more fandoms in the future!
I write for Doctors 9-12 at the moment and maybe some companions. I don't write for the 13th Doctor just yet but I will soon!! I'm having some troubles with my masterlist so sorry about that. I'll try to get it fixed soon.
a/n: yay!! after an eternity i have finally finished writing something :)) its my first time writing for twelve so i do hope that its okay. (a long time ago) i was inspired by the song “Sideways” from Citizen Cope and well i came up with this thing. Originally i had decided to make it really angsty but i apparently i went in a different direction and made it more fluffy-ish. i hope that you like it!
Pairing: twelfth doctor x reader (i would say its more platonic but you can think otherwise if you want to)
Warnings: maybe some swear words
summary: you go to earth to make amends with your parents and ask the doctor to come with you. He says he'll be there in 10 minutes but it turns out to be 10 years until you meet each other again.
“Ah. Home sweet home. I can't wait for dinner." You say as you put on your jacket and straighten any wrinkles from your clothes.
"Fancy dinner date huh?"
"What? Oh, no." You say incredulously while snickering.
"What's got you all dressed up like that then? Why are you wearing all these fancy clothes and weird stuff? I've never seen you dress fancy in your life. At one point I simply assumed it was impossible for you."
Your mouth opens in shock and closes once you can't think of anything to say. A frown crosses your face as you pace around the TARDIS console anxiously. "That's not true! I've dressed fancy many times. At like events and stuff."
"Oh really? Name one other time that you've dressed fancy. Come on. Prove me wrong."
You stutter and stumble after words trying to get the question to register in your brain and find any example. Anything at all.
"Uh...well..well-wh-what about that time we had to go to that fancy auction party event thing. I was wearing a dress and you were wearing a suit."
"Ha! That doesn't count! It was just a holographic image projected from a device on your t-shirt. I had one too but because I'm a Time Lord, I saw through the projections and saw you simply wearing a t-shirt and jeans."
"Ugh. Fine. I am wearing this 'fancy' outfit because I want to look good for my parents, who I am having dinner with tonight and have not seen them in a couple of years. When I came with you, we didn't exactly leave on the best terms and haven't really spoken since."
"Oh. Well, um, do you want me to come with you? Or..?"
Looking down at your feet, you let out a sigh while placing your head in your hands.
"Yeah it would be nice if you could come."
"Alright." The Doctor gave you a soft, reassuring smile as he moved around the TARDIS, pushing buttons and pulling levers on the console before arriving right outside your parents house.
"We're here."
"Guessed that much." Before either of you could say another word you run over to the Doctor and engulf him in a big hug. Burying your head in his shoulder for comfort and reassurance, you relax a little as he awkwardly tries to hug you back.
"I know you don't really like hugs but I really need this right now." Your voice is muffled against his clothing as you close your eyes, let out a large breath and remove yourself from him.
"Yeah, I know."
You smile at him as you pick up your purse from somewhere under the console sofa and walk over to the door, opening it halfway but not yet stepping out.
"So are you coming?" you ask playfully as your usual demeanor comes back.
"Yes, yes, but go without me, I'll come in ten minutes."
"Okay then, I'll see you soon." You shout from outside the TARDIS as you walk towards the spunky, modern house and close the blue doors behind you.
You stare at the oak coloured door in front of you, thousands of thoughts running through your mind. Deep, cold breaths left your lips as you dragged your fist towards the door; but before you managed to knock the door flies open. Warm air tickles your skin as you stare at your parents standing in front of you.
"Y/N!"
"Hi."
"Come in, come in. Dinner is almost ready." Your dad says warmly as he ushers you in and closes the door behind you.
As you take a seat at the table across your father, your mother emerges with a glorious array of food. You squirm in your seat as an awkward silence prevails.
"So, Y/N, where is that friend of yours that you said would come?" Your mother asks inquisitively with her cold eyes flashing and her question laced with poison as if she enjoyed seeing you intimidated.
"Oh, yeah, he uh, he said he would come in ten minutes."
"Oh, okay. I guess we should wait for him then."
Silence. You wait for ten minutes. Then twenty. Then thirty.
An hour passes.
Where is he?
"Well, I guess we should start because it seems like he stood you up." Your mother says sighing as her tone tells you that she is just utterly disappointed and a wave of criticism is about to come and crash onto you.
That asshat. Where the hell are you! You thought, clearly irritated. It wasn't as if he hasn't done this before and if it had been any other day, you honestly wouldn't mind as much, but this was an important day for you. He knew that. Didn't he?
You sigh and give in. "Yeah, maybe."
Your father passes you some chicken, potatoes and peas before adding some to his own plate. "Thank you."
"Not a problem sweetheart."
You cringe slightly at the old nickname as you pour some gravy over your food before going silent.
"Should we eat?" Your mother asks, finally sitting down with a plate of her own food.
"Sure." You and your father say in unison, grinning slightly at each other. The three of you dig in and as you eat you get lost in your thoughts and wonder about what happened to the Doctor.
***
You sighed as you watched the raindrops race down your window as you huddled up in blankets and drank hot chocolate to warm yourself up. It had been ten years since you last saw the Doctor. Ten years.
Not minutes. Not hours. Not even months!
Years. Years.
He left you for ten years. You despised him for it. And yet you still missed him. You tried to find him but it was just impossible. You sigh and take a sip of hot chocolate. You smile as the marshmallows melt in your mouth.
You pick up an old notebook beside and give it a sideways glance. It contained everything about the Doctor. It was your way of finding him, basically. But it had led to a dead end and so you gave up. Flipping through the old book you reminisce lightly about how hopeful you were those first few years. Snorting at the memory and throwing the book aside, you watch the raindrops patter against the window silently.
Going back to normal life had been hard. Harder than you expected.
Suddenly, you started. That noise.
Could it be?
You run and grab your keys from the glass bowl on the kitchen counter, hurriedly put on your shoes and run like hell down the stairs, not at all waiting for the elevator.
You stand outside and gasp. The TARDIS. You walk over to it carefully and slowly as if it was a frightened animal even though it was nothing of the sort. Your fingers graze the blue police box and you smile. You barely feel the drops of water on your skin as you examine the TARDIS incredulously.
"Hello, Sexy." You whisper to the TARDIS as you lean your head against the blue box. "I've missed you."
Suddenly the door opens and you step back.
"Doctor?"
"Oh hey Y/N! Is the dinner ready?"
"Dinner? What dinner?"
"The dinner with your parents of course."
You scoff at him and take another step back. "Oh that dinner? Oh I'm sorry to tell you but that dinner was TEN YEARS AGO!"
The Doctor blinks and his face gets serious. "What? No, it can't be."
"Check your calendar." You say voice dripping with malice and sarcasm.
The Doctor goes back into the TARDIS and you hear him mutter something angrily. He steps out of the TARDIS again and faces you.
"I am so sorry Y/N."
You scowl at him for a brief moment before giving him a huge hug.
"Don't you dare do something like that again or I will punch you so hard that I'll make you regenerate." You say into his shoulder before you calm down and slowly relax into his arms. You bury your head in his shoulder and the both of you just stay in that position for a while. Finally you release him from your hug and give him a smile. "I missed you so much."
The Doctor smiles and you take his hand, dragging the both of you out of the rain.
"Let's go to my apartment, it's much more cozy than standing dripping wet in the rain."
The two of you walk up the apartment building stairs and stop at a door with the number 321 on it. Your apartment. Walking in, you throw your keys back into the glass bowl on the kitchen counter and sigh happily before collapsing comfortably on the couch. "Come here." You say while patting the seat next to you. The Doctor slides onto the cushy seat next to rather awkwardly but you don't mind.
You lean your head on his shoulder and he slowly wraps an arm around your waist as you turn the TV on. "So what horrendous movie are we watching today?" He asks while looking at you pointedly.
"Hamilton."
"Hm."
"What?"
"Nothing."
"What?"
"Nothing." He replies with a similar tone to yours and you eye him cautiously before letting out a small 'hmph' of annoyance. You narrow your eyes ever so slightly but make no response as you get ready to press play. However, before you can do so, he breaks the silence.
"What is that?"
"What?"
"That." He points at your head leaning on his shoulder and he has the hint of a frown on his face.
You groan and roll your eyes.
"Give me a break," you sigh and look up at him, not moving from his shoulder, "I mean you did leave me for like, oh yeah, ten years."
He sighs and stiffens at your response. "Fine." He mutters out sounding sheepish.
You let out another exasperated sigh and begin to move away, putting space between the both of you. But before you're able to get too far, he grabs your hand and shoulder pulling you back to him.
"Stay." He says as he kisses the top of your head gently, and props his head on top of yours, making you lean into him. You smile, and press play on the remote, finally being able to relax completely after such a long time. Content, you sigh softly and stare at the TV screen. All is well and everything is as it should be. For now, anyways.

yayy my final repost :)) A repost of "Donna Has a Final Try" that i wrote recently? i finally found a better title that i liked though so yay! I actually haven't touched this since writing it lol so it will be probably the exact same. It is not my best work and was just a fun drabble thing i wrote quickly using a prompt from @oopsprompts.
summary: after ages of trying to get you and the Doctor together, Donna finally feels like giving up. However, she has one last trick up her sleeve she wants to try.
Pairing: Tenth Doctor x Reader
Warnings: None, really?
Word Count: 628
"You are, without a doubt, the stupidest genius I have ever met." Donna said as she practically threw a small box of tools at the Doctor's face and continued reading her magazine. It was about New New York and its medical achievements, movie stars and whatnot. Slightly boring but it was better than seeing you and the Doctor being completely oblivious about each other's affections.
"Ow! Donna!"
"What?" Donna sighed, looking over the top of her magazine, waiting for an answer from the Timelord.
"I asked for the blue toolbox, not the red one! Also what did you say that for?"
"I said it because it's true. You obviously like Y/N and she obviously likes you but neither of you will admit it! "
"What?"
"I have tried so hard to get you together but it is literally impossible."
The Doctor spluttered in protest, trying to say something, just about anything to prove her wrong but nothing came out.
"But you know… maybe, all hope is not lost after all. I don't see the blue toolbox anywhere around here but I'm sure that Y/N knows where it is. I mean she has been here longer than I have."
"Donna. No."
Donna stood up and placed down her magazine with a wide smirk on her face and she yelled your name.
"Y/N get down here! I need you for something!"
The Doctor lets out a light strangled groan of annoyance, running his hand through his mahogany hair nervously as you approached.
"Yes? You need something?" You said slightly irritated that you didn't freshen yourself up a bit before seeing them as your h/c hair was tied up into a messy bun and you were wearing a dark blue leather jacket with a paint stained crop top underneath and denim jeans.
"Nah. The Doctor does though. Time alone with you maybe?" Donna went over and grabbed her magazine, smirking at you with a gleam in her eye that spelled out trouble.
"I'll just leave you two alone." Donna whispered to you, disregarding the I-am-so-going-to-kill-you look that you gave her.
There was a deadly silence as you turned back to the Doctor and gave an awkward smile desperately trying to break the awkward tension between the both of you.
"So… What do you need me for?"
"Oh. Right." The Doctor's eyes snapped back to you after looking anywhere around the TARDIS except for you. However, before he could say another word his eyes slowly trailed down from your face to your shoulders, and stopped at your exposed waist.
"Take a picture, it lasts longer." You teased slightly and instantly wished that you had just kept your mouth shut as a dark shade of pink bloomed on your cheeks.
His eyes instantly snapped back to yours as he opened his mouth to speak before closing it when no sound came out. "No. No, I uh-I wasn't you know-I was just-" The Doctor spluttered and fumbled over his words as he laughed nervously. You placed a finger over his lips to stop his nervous rambling. "Shut up."
The Timelord calmed down and you removed your hand from his lips. You were so close to each other that you practically shared the same air. Your hands fell on his shoulders as he held your waist, warm fingers touching your exposed skin. The Doctor's soft caramel eyes stared back at your own and once again started to trail down your face stopping at your lips. Leaning in closer, a large alarm sounded just before your lips met. Both of you jumped, startled by the alarm and moved away from each other awkwardly as Donna walked in.
"Goddamnit. And it was so bloody close." Donna muttered as she sunk into the console sofa.
Lmaoo i just reread this while editing some of the spacing and well... im not a huge fan of this piece but i did this as a way to try to get rid of writers block and its working? Kinda? anyways i hope that ten and donna arent too ooc. hope that you are all doing well!
story summary: this is a ongoing wip that i am working on! What if the doctor and the master werent the only ones who survived the time war? What if y/n did too? basically thats it! The timeline is pretty weird but basically part 2 is set in season 1 and part 3 is set in the special episode "the runaway bride" and then the story continues from there. after part 3 its set in season 3 but replacing y/n and donna as the companions instead of martha. so yeah! sorry if its a little confusing lol, im trying to wrap my head around the timelines. Not my main masterlist
Another repost! thats it really. However the timeline does get really confusing from here and part 3 so check out the masterlist for the summary if your confused by the timeline. also i dont know why this is reposted so late but i edited it instead of finishing a oneshot like im supposed to but oops here it is. Masterlist
Pairing: Tenth Doctor x Reader
Warnings: nothing... yet
You were hurling and spinning towards the blue planet. It was a rough ride. Entering the atmosphere, you began to burn up a little and crashed ungracefully into an abandoned alley, causing birds to squawk and made a loud ruckus.
Groaning slightly, you stood up from the floor, brushing off some broken pieces of machinery and pulled yourself out of the TARDIS. I really hope no one saw that. At least the TARDIS didn't blow up and we landed in an abandoned alley. Ok, calm down. What am i supposed to do now? you thought, freeing your leg from some wreckage.
"Oh girl, we gotta get you fixed." you said, brushing off some scoot and dust off the-currently wrecked and battered-TARDIS. The TARDIS made a small sound and a laugh escaped your lips. Before you could say anything, a loud gasp startled you. "What on earth happened to you?" a ginger woman asked, shock plastered all over her face. "Um.. Excuse me?" you questioned, an equal look of shock and confusion on your face. "Who are you?"
"Donna Noble" she said, shaking your hand and giving a small smile. What about you? and what in the name of all good things is that wreck behind you?"
"Uh, umm," you paused, thinking what name to use. You couldn't use your title, The Shadow, so instead you just settled with your real name, Y/N. No one else really knew your real name on Gallifrey except your parents so if anyone else survived they wouldn't know who you are. You didn't even know if anyone else survived. You could be the last living Time Lord. Or Time Lady, to be exact. You were startled out of your thoughts by Donna snapping her fingers in your face.
"Did you space out or something? So strange. So what's your name?" Donna asked, muttering to herself a little. "Oh yeah. That. It's Y/N" you replied, turning back to the TARDIS. "It's a shame isn't it? you questioned Donna, not taking your eyes away from the ATM machine, box, whatever the name for it is, you couldn't really remember. It's camouflaging still worked, apparently. You sighed, pulling out your sonic pen out and it glowed a soft f/c as you put the TARDIS in a small pocket of time and space so no one would find it.
"Are you from space? " Donna asked, still processing everything, a look of wonder and awe in her eyes. "Why would ever you think that?" sarcasm dripping from your voice, staring at her, fascinated. "Because you came flying in the air from a box." Donna stated, waving her arms everywhere and pointing at where the TARDIS had been and technically still was but in a pocket of time and space. "Well, does that answer your question then?" you innocently looked at her, eyebrows slightly raised, while lying on the slightly scoot covered ground, arms propped up, looking comfortable despite being anything but.
"No?" Donna scrunched up her forehead and furrowed her eyebrows in confusion and slight frustration.
"Well you're smart enough to find the answer I suppose."
Donna rolled her eyes and let out a large groan of annoyance.
"Look, if I tell you the truth about who I am, then you can never ever tell anyone okay?" you finally said, breaking the current silence. Your voice is serious and all traces of playful elements are gone. Standing up, you brushed off excess dirt and looked her over. There was a worried look in your eyes, and you bit your lip, pondering if you could trust her fully.
"Alright, I promise." she responded, nodding while a smile grew on her face.
"Stupendous!" you cheered, the light returning in your e/c eyes.
You smiled at your new friend as you walked down the alley and into the sunlight, leaving the TARDIS behind and tried to start a new life.
"So, what are you?"
"I'm a Timelord or a Time Lady, really."
"And what is that?"
"Basically I'm an alien from another planet and I'm around 600 years old. I'm still quite young-ish. I don't really know what would be considered young I guess.. Still on my 8th regeneration though. " you spoke, looking forward to her reaction.
Donna gasped and stopped in her tracks, making you trip a little. "What? How? What? What!"
You chuckled, and shook your head in amusement. "yeah. I… I come from a planet called… Gallifrey. It was gorgeous. I miss it." your voice became shaky, as you tried swallowing a lump in your throat and keeping your tears at bay. "Oh. I've hit a nerve, haven't I?" Donna blurted out, wincing a little, biting her lip nervously. "Yeah… please don't ask questions about it." you mumbled quietly, looking down at the ground as if it was the most fascinating thing you've ever seen.
"Oh, okay. I'm sorry for whatever happened." Donna uttered, squeezing your shoulder for comfort. You gave a thin-lipped smile and continued walking, but looked at the stars once in a while. "Anyways, I've got to start a new life here, so do you want to share those things you call apartments or flats together and we can do whatever we want afterwards?"
"Sounds, stupendous." Donna laughed, quoting you from earlier. "Oh stop it, I knew it was a bad idea to say it from the start" you giggled, shaking your head and rolling your eyes as the both of you walked down the street. Unbeknownst to you, you weren't alone.
tumblr spacing is really weird. Reminds of the first time i used ao3 and i messed up the spacing completely. I feel like Donna's a little ooc so i probably need to rewatch some of her episodes :) im probably going to repost one final thing and continue writing something fluffy. The first couple of chapters have been Doctor-less but the next one finally has him so yay :)) feedback is always welcomed and i thank you for it! ❤
