Alright, I know I’ve been telling everyone else to stop complaining, but it was warmer in Lima today than it was here. I know, global warming and whatever, but it should be warmer in SoCal than the freakin’ midwest. I swear, if some kind of Day After Tomorrow crap happens, I’m coming back and haunting Sue Sylvester. Quinn was simply walking by the field when she heard a big crash. Something had just happened there, and she needed to go check it by herself. What if someone was hurt? She needed to go there and figure out what had happened. The blonde knew that field already since she normally has to go there for the cheerleading practice and to go work out whenever she doesn’t feel like going to the gym. So as soon as she walked in she arched an eyebrow as she looked around. And that was when she saw another blonde, but that one, that one was pretty hurt. “Oh my God! Do you need some help?” She called out as she just shook her head. “How did you crash here? Look at your wings! Can you walk down here, or do you want me to help you out?” Quinn called out as soon as she saw the blood on the other’s arm.
“I’m okay!” She called to the other, brushing herself off before checking if her wings were still intact which luckily they were. Slowly she started to make her way off the bleachers. “I was practising flying but um, I went too high and the wind kind of blew me over there and then I lost control and well-- boom!” She explained as she got by the other. “It sounded worse than it was...” She shrugged, still blissfully unaware of the injury on her arm.

She may not have supernatural powers like everyone that often came to this field to train did, but if there was one thing she had was to desire to be in shape and do some very limited train of her own. She had thought to come here for a jog would’ve been a great idea, that was until the loud crash had her jumping out of her skin, squealing like a little bitch and hiding her head into her hands. Typically, she wouldn’t be such a scaredy cat, but ever since what had happened to her during the time she was being tested in that mad psych area, she had become quite jumpy. Or at least had some trauma she wasn’t completely aware of her that had her acting in such a way that wasn’t much like herself. ‘ What the actual fuck is happening around here? Was this a bloody meteor?’ She mumbled under her breath, her attention soon turning toward the squeaking sound her ears had picked up on, noticing the girl in the bleachers, soon sighing in relief. At least the sky wasn’t falling. That was a good sign if anything. Figuring the other would’ve probably hurt herself with the fall, she was quick to go to her aid, standing by her side, green hues settling on her features. ‘ You doing alright?’ She asked soon looking down at her arm, noticing the blood in it, brows furrowing with concern. ‘ Bloody hell, you’re bleeding. You’re not trying to fly again. At least not until this little problem is taken care of. I don’t know much about fairies but I do know one thing, I don’t think they can resist a blood lost.’
Ivy hadn’t noticed the other enter the sports field, probably because she was dangerously high in the sky. Turning around to see who was speaking, she was met with someone new. “I’m okay!” She smiled. “Huh? I’m bleeding?” Her question was followed by her limbs moving frantically as she tried to find the source of the bleeding. “I can’t... find it...” She furrowed her eyebrows as she continued the search for her injury. “Found it!” She celebrated, soon stopping when she noticed how fast it was flowing. “Shit. that’s pretty bad, huh?”

So far they’re not so awesome. Well, they are! Just they’d be better with more practice... I can bring plants back to life, but that’s it so far. Ah, that’s your studio? How long have you been into photography?

‘I could definitely make it out myself if something were to happen..’ they thought, shaking heir head. “I-I-I’m n-not a-a f-fairy, b-b-but.. d-d-definit-t-el-ly c-c-chang-ged..” they shrugged their shoulders when ivy continued to walk, glancing over at her. “I-I-I l-l-ik-ke y-y-our w-w-ings.. t-t-they’re p-p-pret-t-ty…”
as they walked, koda kept thinking if they should tell their friend. it couldn’t be that bad, right? ivy would still be their friend, right? they wouldn’t be risking everything by letting this one thing be revealed, right? with a deep breath they looked at ivy, chewing their lip before speaking; “I-i-i-t’s n-n-not s-s-somethin-ng w-w-well h-h-hid-d-den, w-w-when I-I-I-I t-t-touch s-s-someo-o-n-ne..” they trailed off, reaching over to gently take ivy’s hand in their own.
“thankyou!” she grinned at the compliment about her wings. “i’m glad they’re not ugly like moth wings or something.” she giggled. “especially since i can’t hide them yet.”
koda was acting strange, she couldn’t tell why but she knew something was off, especially today. she felt like they’d been a little on edge since they re-met in sunshine city, she assumed it was just a vibe she got from their new species but it seemed like it was because of how koda felt about it. a loud gasp came from ivy when the other’s hand touched her own. “you’re so cold!” she furrowed her eyebrows, taking both koda’s hands and holding them between her own.
“why are you so...” she trailed off, slowly noticing the little changes. the stillness of their skin as there was no pulse, the lack of breath, the coldness. “so you’re a vampire?” she asked, surprised but not really phased too much.
valentines dinner || quivy
The invitation had arrived a couple days before the 14th, the question on whether she would go or not was stuck in the front of her head since she first read it. Chewing on her bottom lip, she let a soft sigh out before beginning to get dressed. Dates weren’t a thing Ivy usually attended, not that this was a date. Right? She was in the middle of bending down to pick something up when she shot back up to check the invitation. “It just says dinner. It’s just a dinner. It’s not a date.” She reminded herself as she calmed down and continued to get dressed.
An hour and a bit later, Ivy was finally ready. She was wearing a little black dress that had a subtle green shimmer in the light, heels and had a small bag with the present for her not-date inside. After one final check over her outfit and she was on her way, heading for Crystal’s Taste and getting there for 6:30pm, before the dinner was due to start.

while yes, the sight of their friend suddenly flying next to them was something koda wasn’t expecting, it wasn’t the weirdest thing they had seen in this place. “i-i-i-t’s ok-k-kay, j-j-ust don’t t-t-try t-t-o c-c-car-r-ry m-me.” they had to keep their head down a little bit to keep their face out of the sun, their hood not doing a lot for them. they huffed, and could feel themselves growing frustrated, but all they had to do was glance over every so often and see ivy’s shadow. ivy always had kept them grounded. just not literally in this sense, considering that ivy wasn’t actually on the ground.
“got it, i wont try and lift you and fly you with me.” she laughed. “but what if we got in some sort of trouble and need a quick get away, do i get permission to whisk you up then?” she rose an eyebrow, flying a little further forward than koda and then proceeding to fly backwards. “unless you’re secretly a fairy too?” she pulled a suggestive face, quickly cracking up and giggling afterwards.
she turned to face the right way and continued a little further. “did anything actually change you?” she perked up. “like, i don’t know if you’re still human or what you are now if something changed...” she shrugged. “it must be nice for it to be something hidden you know? with these it’s like you have to have a certain amount of power to be able to hide them, so once they were there everyone knew... i don’t know where i’m going with this...” she stopped flying and continued to walk.

pulling at the sleeves of their sweatshirt koda nodded, keeping their head down as they moved quickly to catch up with ivy. something was wrong, something was messing with them, and while they couldn’t quite put their finger on it, they had a feeling it had something to do with ivy’s wound. “w-w-we c-c-an g-g-get y-y-ou a p-p-packag-g-e t-t-o k-k-keep w-w-ith you.. j-j-just in case.” they stated, smiling at ivy as they slipped their hands in their pockets. “a-a-and m-m-maybe d-d-don’t t-t-try f-f-lying i-i-n t-t-he w-w-ind?”
“i’m pretty sure fairies don’t usually hurt easily. i think my arm must have scraped on a sharp bit of metal andwell, my skin’s not suddenly made of steel.” she giggled. “that and if it’s not windy, don’t go high because it’s gonna go windy.” she pointed her finger and laughed, her wings fluttering and letting her feet lift the ground slightly. “i’m just gonna try to fly beside you. that way it’s easy flying and still practice. unless me flying all of a sudden creeps you out, it must look a little strange.”

koda bit their lip, glancing up at ivy for a moment then looking back down. they hadn’t really been a ‘we’ since koda was whisked off the streets and they lost contact. koda didn’t even have what they’d call a ‘best friend’ anymore considering that they had to re-learn all that they knew. “I.. I-I-I c-c-an g-g-o w-w-ith y-y-ou… i-i-f you want?” they looked up at the wound on their friend, swallowing as something inside them stirred with a unmaskable want, but they pushed it down. they couldn’t hurt ivy.
ivy titled her head as something seemed off with koda, she’d always had a heightened awareness around koda since they first became close, but since becoming a fairy - it had gotten stronger. she nodded and smiled at the other’s request. “please, that’d be good!” she walked a little past the other before turning and walking backwards. “come on!” she grinned, turning back the other way. she had missed spending time with koda, she had missed having her best-friend around during everything that happened in the past year or so.

they crossed their arms and rose their eyebrows, stopping in front of her friend. “I-I-I c-c-an’t-t f-f-feel p-p-pain e-e-t-ther-r.” they stammered softly, glancing down at their feet. it still bugged them that they stuttered so much, but they knew ivy was patient. ivy was patient with them– she always had been. “d-d-do y-y-ou h-h-heal f-f-fast-t? o-o-r d-d-do y-y-ou n-n-eed a b-b-band a-aid?”
“i think i heal fast now.” she looked at the wound, it looked a little worse than before. “but maybe a band aid would be best.” she giggled oddly, her eyebrows knitting together. “do you have any or should we...? i? go to the store?” she asked.

they had been on a walk when they heard the crash coming from the sports field, unsure if the person who caused it was okay. their curiosity got the better of them and they headed inside slowly, peering over corners instead of running right around them just in case whoever did it was bad. upon seeing their friend on the bleachers they rolled their eyes and shook their head, walking towards it. “y-y-you w-w-were a-a-alw-w-ways a-a-a k-k-klutz-z.” they stammered out, a smile forming on their face as they turned to walk up the bleachers. “y-y-you ok-k-kay?”
she turned on her heel as she heard the voice behind her. “i wouldn’t really put it down to my klutzy-ness this time, i got too excited flying and forgot the wind is stronger when you get higher.” she explained, fixing her hair a little. “i’m alright. fell from miles up but i’m surprisingly okay.” she shrugged, feeling something rolling down her arm she twisted it to see what was on her. “oh! okay i got hurt a little.” she raised her eyebrows. “it’s weird i can’t feel it... i like being a fairy.”

Good morning guys! It’s been a little while since I saw tumblr being active so, tell me, how are you all? How is life, people?
I’m pretty good, still having to stop myself getting excited about being here. Everyone’s abilities are so cool - it’s like living in a fantasy film. How about you?
Ivy had been wanting to try to fly since her wings had appeared and with the weekend off work and the sports field being empty she decided to finally try. She’d been keeping an eye on the sports field timetable since she saw it, the big open space seemed like the perfect place to practice. She’d been trying for a while already, getting a little higher and further each time she took off. She was currently going higher than she had before, although she soon realised maybe she should have been practising travel instead of height as she lost control and starting falling fast to what she thought was the grass of the sports field...
A loud crash filled the silence around the field as she landed on the bleachers. “That hurt...” She squeaked, laying there for a while before slowly getting back on her feet. “I’m really not good at this.” She muttered to herself, not noticing the trickling blood on the side of her arm. “Guess I’ll keep trying.”

So crazy about James McAvoy at the moment. He is an amazing actor and cute to look at too so that’s not so bad. I might have watched all his movies this week… I need to leave the house….this is sad.
That sounds so good not sad, I need a week of hearing that accent.
