Day 7: Cross Culture.

Soulmate AU in which Edward is a fox spirit and has to hunt his soulmate as a rite of passage among his people. 

Once Edward reaches the age of majority it doesn’t really take him a lot to find his destined mate. The only problem? While Mustang finds him atractive, he claims to not be ready for that kind of compromise. Also, as a law enforcer, he doesn’t really approves the whole “kidnapped against his will” part of Ed’s traditions.

I’ve been watching BuzzFeed Unsolved recently so…

In this au Maes is more than a conspiracy theory enthusiast, he’s a conspiracy theorist himself, and often presents his theories. His theories are always so elaborate and take at least 13 minutes to explain, even Roy is baffled by this sometimes. He even (arguably) solved about 2 or 3 of the True Crime cases, because Maes’ investigation skills are so underrated, damn it.

Except Roy stops listening when Maes mentions something supernatural, and as intricate and credible Maes’ theories are, it doesn’t stop Roy from snarking him.

Being a genius theorist also doesn’t stop Maes from screaming when they go to a haunted location either.

Day 6: Impossible meetings.

Edward and his brother Alphonse live under a beautiful country house. That very same house is also a very sad man’s home. He used to be a General and wears an eyepatch.

It’s not a bad arrangement: they have a roof over their heads and a warm place to sleep in every night. Anything else they could need, they borrow it from Mustang’s house. Its not like he would miss it anyway, when you are tinier than a pencil you don’t need too much to survive.

Not long after Al’s death, Ed puts a video in his YouTube channel in memory of his estranged brother. This small gesture suddenly leads him to much bigger things when Ed notices things are off in the old videos of Al and him that he has a hold of. 

He decides to investigate, and finds out that there is so much more behind Al’s death, and that their family has been cursed for a long time before his existence. Now, he has to survive the hands of a group of eldritch beings that call themselves ‘The Collective’, along with a helping hand of a friend from the future.

Seeing theme S, I immediately thought of this series, so here’s a TribeTwelve au ft. our boi Ed. (Original tweet - possible spoilers)

FMA AU week theme Q: impossible meetings

Another drawing for an au I thought up a while back about when 2003 wrath is faced with the gate, he gets pulled all the way through and ends up in the fmab universe outside of fort briggs. They quickly realize he is not a normal child and although Olivier does not like him at all at first, he ends up working for them and becomes an important part of the briggs crew, and earns the honorary title of Private Snow Hare as he is great at building tunnels in the snow and setting pitfall traps for enemies.
