Will: I'm sorry for causing any Hazel-induced headaches. Thanks, Harley.

Wrapped up in her favourite wooly jacket, Cassie tugged at her scarf as she removed it from her bag, before wrapping it snugly around her neck and protecting the bare skin from the unwelcome breeze. It was a really pretty scarf, and she loved it a lot. It was yellow and it had black stripes – just like from Harry Potter! – and when Laura had given it to her on her birthday she’d been so happy that she had even cried. Good tears, of course – always good tears! It was super snug and cozy and she liked to pretend that if she scrunched her nose hard enough like Tonks did in the movies, then she too could change the colour of her hair, or give herself prettier eyes.
Giggling to herself and ignoring the raised eyebrows and the mocking stares that she – once again – found herself on the receiving end, she shrugged and skipped out from behind her booth and started making her way towards the Adventureland entrance. As much as working the confectionery stand was super fun, and she loved her job crazy amounts, she had been, like, extra excited when her boss had given her permission to take a half day. Only, where most people might spend their free time getting themselves as far away as possible from the place that employed them, Cassie was all too excited to do the exact opposite of that.
Though she knew it hadn’t escaped the notice of the likes of Sawyer, Tori, or any of her boys who had known her before her time in Paris, Cassie still didn’t like having too much attention drawn on the fact that, over recent years, she’d lost her nerve a little. While it was fair to say that Victor – or Vic the Pr*ck as David liked to call him – was much to blame for her newfound, nervous disposition, Cassie didn’t think it was such a terrible thing to be cautious. After all, the world was a scary place and there were a lot of threats out there. In fact, she figured that Kevin was, like, the best example of just that! Every single time she saw him he seemed to have a new cut or scrape on his otherwise handsome face, and her heart sunk further in her chest every single time she thought about him some day getting himself into a scrap he couldn’t recover from.
Still, what did Kevin have to do with it? Nothing, that’s what! She had no idea why her mind kept wandering to him of all people, especially not when she was lucky enough to be spending her evening with the lovely, and ever handsome, Will! Remembering the way that Kevin had seemed so huffy over text at her mention of Will, she stifled yet another giggle and buried her face into the comfort of her scarf once more. As though reading her mind, she felt a soft buzz from her phone in her pocket, and she fumbled it and spotted a text from the boy in question. Informing her that he, and his band of merry men (as Cassie liked to call them, even though she knew that none of them were actually men, and that some of his siblings weren’t even boys), were just outside the gate, Cassie’s face split into a wide, excitable grin.
Flashing her ID badge around like a total maniac, making it all too clear that she did, in fact, work in Adventureland, she bounded out past the front gate in search of Will. Finally spotting him, she lifted a hand up and frantically waved at him, catching the eye of Jessie who returned her excitable wave. Skipping over to the little family that she’d oh-so grown to love, Cassie lunged forward to pull Will into a hug. Stopping short, she spotted a fresh bruise just below his eye and pouted, wondering how it had gotten there. Will had told her just how clumsy he could be, and just how many times he’d managed to trip and stumble over Abby’s skateboard, and Cassie found herself wondering if the pair of them should just wrap themselves in cotton wool.
“Hiiiii everyone!! Hiya Will!” she greeted them, bouncing on the spot.
Having decided against throwing herself at Will and pulling him to a hug – she’d learned that it wasn’t always the most sensible option, especially given just how fragile Will’s bones seemed to be – she opted for a gentler approach, and leaned in a placed a gentle kiss on the side of his cheek.
Content with herself, and happy to be getting the chance to spend some time with her friend and all of his siblings, she pulled her bag from her shoulder and scurried through it until she found the handful of free passes she’d acquired to get them into the park.
“I have a pass for everyone!” she exclaimed, pulling them from the back and waving them about for all to see. Grinning wide, she leaned forward and placed one lanyard carefully around Luca’s neck, before handing the rest to Will to hand out among themselves. “Are you guys excited? I’m totally, super excited!! I know all the best rides, and of course all the best candies! We’re gonna have the best time ever!!”
Will was always adamant that he was not a charity case. It was hard to make peace with that fact when his best friend was someone who flaunted money without a care in the world, and he supposed he and Nathaniel might butt heads more often if Will wasn’t aware that the other boy certainly hadn’t been born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Like Will, he’d come from less desirable beginnings but he’d been granted his own rags to riches story, while Will was forced to endure his own lot and proudly decline Nate’s offers of monetary help. Because Will was not a charity case.
Naturally, when Cassie had excitedly dangled the prospect of a free day out at Adventureland in front of him, his instinct was to politely say no. Unluckily, his siblings had been there at the time which meant the four of them began bouncing around excitedly and giving Will no option but to accept.
He supposed it was worth it for the smiles on his brothers and sisters’ faces, and Abby already had a long list of stuffed animals that she wanted Luca to win her from the claw machine. Will had wondered whether or not to be offended that she hadn’t asked for his help, but Abby had quietly sidled up to him when her excitement had calmed down to inform him that she didn’t want him putting extra stress on his hands just to win her a plushie. He hadn’t known what to say to that and she’d slunk off before he’d been able to find his voice.
Feeling strangely sullen himself, Will forced a smile onto his face when he saw Cassie on the other side of the gates. He pulled Jeremy closer to him when his little brother was suddenly in danger of being trampled by a scowling young boy who was already dictating to his parents what he wanted to eat, ride and win first.
When Cassie approached them, Will wondered if he should brace himself for a bear hug. He hadn’t known that someone as tiny as Cassie could be such a physical force to be reckoned with, but he figured that what she lacked in height, she made up for in pure, unadulterated enthusiasm. The hug never came, but instead Will had to blush and let a smile dimple his face when Cassie reached up to peck him on the cheek. A chorus of snickers sounded from all around them and he quickly shoved his hand over Luca’s mouth.
“Uh, that’s great,” he nodded, taking his pass with a stiff smile. He still felt bad about accepting it seeing as he was going against his own rule of taking something he couldn’t get himself, but Abby was already sliding her hand into his and tugging him along as their little group made their way through the turnstiles.
“Can we go on the biggest rollercoaster?” Jeremy asked around his thumb which was jammed in his mouth.
“We can go on the biggest one that you can ride,” Will reasoned, picking up his littlest brother and setting him on his shoulders while the rest of his siblings tried to talk over each other and decide where they should go first.
“Guys!” he called, raising his hand to settle them. He gestured to Cassie. “We’ll let Cassie choose.”

I want Alex back but I never had him in the first place and I probably want him for all the wrong reasons. He made me feel normal and I want normal things. But I miss his stupid jokes and stupid hair as well and I feel all sorts of fucked up tonight.
You guys need to stop putting me in situations where I end up having to be the bad cop. Look, as much as I’m happy for them too, management have told me to tell you all that you can’t keep hanging the ‘Laura told Christian she likes him’ banner in the lobby.

Will: I will. You too.

Alex: My friends know better than to believe some dick on the internet.
Alex: Thanks for setting the record straight, though.
Alex: I just hope this doesn't follow you.
Will: I'm not going to sit back and let anyone say that.
Will: It'll be fine. I can cover myself.

Alex: Why are you sorry?
Alex: Shit, Will. Don't be sorry. I don't care if people talk about me.
Will: I just don't want anyone thinking that about you.

Will: I'm sorry.
Will: Fuck, I don't know what to say. I'm sorry.
Will: Nate's going to see about getting it taken down.
does whatever happened between alex and will have anything to do with why will is bruised to fuck? cayley got a temper?
(via confessmessina)
I don’t know why everyone seems to think they need to spread rumours about me and Alex, but let’s get one thing straight. Alex doesn’t have a temper and he hasn’t hurt me. Because that’s what you’re implying, right? I don’t have the time to fully explain how twisted that is but all you need to know is that Alex has only ever treated me and my siblings nicely. I can’t say anything to you that I want to because I would lose my job. But don’t say anything like this again.
i think alex is way more cut up than he’s letting on.
(via confessmessina)
That’s... I know Alex. Nothing really fazes him. I’m sure that... whatever it is, he’ll be okay.
what happened between alex and the doorman?
(via confessmessina)
Nothing.
.lizziewyd:
Your little sister sounds like a darling. How many siblings have you got? There seems to always be a little army of sweethearts running around the lobby.
Four of them. Luca, Jessie, Abby and Jeremy. And then I babysit Nate half the time as well.
.lizziewyd:
I believe you, it’s alright. It’s not often that people are nice just to be nice. It’s a good change.
Tell me about it. My little sister is the biggest advocated for ‘be nice just to be nice’.
.lizziewyd:
Well, regardless, you’re sweet. It didn’t even sound like a line, so that’s always a good sign.
Ah! Well, good. I wasn’t trying to land a line, I swear.
