Phoebe Philo accessorized her SS 15 collection with hands made of porcelain that held coat collars closed. Then, Alexander Wang upped the ladylike factor at Balenciaga with pave ‘B’ pins on his coat collars for his resort show. In New York, a handful of models at Marc by Marc Jacobs wore printed, beaded, and tassled pins on their coats and jackets. One of the labels’ two designers, Luella Bartley, told Style.com the collection was full of, “hard-core idealism,” and indeed the pins did feel political.

The U.S. Transportation Security Administration will not allow cellphones or other electronic devices on U.S.-bound planes at some overseas airports if the devices are not charged up, the agency said on Sunday. The new measure is part of the TSA's effort announced last week to boost security amid concerns that Yemen-based al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula and the Islamist Nusra Front, al Qaeda's affiliate in Syria, are plotting to blow up an airliner, U.S. officials said. As part of the increased scrutiny at certain airports, security agents may ask travelers to turn on their electronic devices at checkpoints and if they do not have power, the devices will not be allowed on planes, the TSA said. U.S. officials are concerned that a cellphone, tablet, laptop or other electronic device could be used as a bomb.

Sometimes you probably slurp the sticky stuff right off of you instead of going for a napkin. Why not skip a step once in a while and get straight to that nectar-like juice? Try this watermelon-cucumber cooler; the watermelon’s sweetness is balanced by a hearty splash of lime juice and a glug of vodka.

Feeling a little nervous about a big race, or just looking to pump up your intensity? Try this power stance from Charles Brown, PhD: Stand tall with chest high and hands on hips. Breathe in deeply through your nose and out your mouth about 10 times. "Doing this pose helps increase your testosterone levels while lowering the stress hormone cortisol," he notes. "Research shows that people who do it before stressful events actually feel bolder." Now go out and kick some butt! (Source: Health Magazine)
