the username and title are both things i've always called myself due to my love for the pacific northwest, rainy weather, the way i feel drawn to things most people often associate with sadness, melancholy, strangeness, etc.

firstly, rain is my favorite weather. for that reason i've always wanted to move to the pacific northwest because it is one of the rainiest states to live in, especially forks. i'm a die-hard twilight fan and i've been obsessed with that area ever since that franchise made me aware of it lol

i also grew up on grunge music and the seattle grunge scene in particular is so important to me. i've always wanted to visit washington at least once, especially kurt cobain's house. out of every musician, kurt cobain is the person i've felt the deepest connection to. not only do i have a bajillion things in common with him, but his lyrics/music literally saved my life when my depression was at its worst. being able to live near his home and see all the places he visited/frequented would be an absolute dream for me.

mount rainier is a place that i dream about as well. its probably the most beautiful place i've ever seen, though i've only seen it through pictures and videos.

"gloomy fairy" is something i would definitely describe myself as, hence why i made it my blog title lol

it combines my love for all things melancholy and whimsical 🥰⛈️✨

i know i probably sound like a huge dweeb writing all this, but foggy forests, the pnw, rain, trees, moss, mountains, storms, etc. are so soothing and euphoric for me. its a feeling a struggle to put into words because they just make me soooo so happy 🥺🌲☔️⛈️🌀
