Doodles of Noblesse characters! I really like Frankenstein and the found family relationships between the characters.
Please watch this.
[Video ID: A TikTok by user @scarlet_may.1; the video is 60 seconds long, has no audio, and is called “Deaf Ears In A Hearing World”.
Scene 1 (Title card): The main character (we’ll call her MC from now on) grabs her bag, keys, and mask and leaves her house.
Scene 2: MC removes her mask and sits down at a table. Two of her friends are talking with expressions and gestures that make it look like they’re complaining, or maybe gossiping. MC signs, “What’s wrong?” One of her friends signs, “Nothing, I’ll explain later.” MC looks disappointed, and she turns to look at her laptop instead of talking with her friends.
Scene 3: A teacher is speaking to the class. The teacher walks in front of the ASL interpreter, blocking MC’s view. MC signs, “Can you please not walk in front of the interpreter? I can’t see.” The teacher nods yes, but then walks in front of the interpreter again. MC looks exasperated. Then the interpreter signs to indicate that the bell is ringing, so MC packs up her laptop, puts her mask on, and leaves class.
Scene 4: MC is in the hallway, looking at her phone. A stranger gets her attention and tries to talk to her, but MC indicates that she can’t hear, and instead pulls out a piece of paper and a pen and offers it to the stranger so that they can write what they want to say. The stranger scowls and shakes their head, then waves goodbye and walks away. MC rolls her eyes in frustration.
Scene 5: MC is in her car now, at a drive thru restaurant. She holds up her phone so that the employee can see it, but the employee calls their manager instead. The manager shows up and takes MC’s order, then returns with a drink, saying “Sorry!” MC smiles and takes the drink. MC is obviously trying to be polite, but at this point she’s reaching the end of her patience.
Scene 6: MC returns home and sits on her couch, looking exhausted. She scrolls through TikTok only to find that none of the videos have closed captions! She throws her phone down in frustration. /End ID]

Frames of my recent gif :D I am really lazy...
Every person in a position of political power should have their daily needs matched to the lowest class of their country.
You make $6 an hour now, Mr. Congressman, and you’re not allowed to sit down or take breaks during your 7.5 hour daily shift. If you don’t like that, then you’re welcome to make some changes
This.
i’ve never understood being able to enact laws that will never impact you
It legitimately works. When politicians chose to live on the food stamp budget for their state they worked to increase the allotment after only a week of living that way.
And honestly? It should include having to spend time living on disability, navigating their district in a wheelchair, and taking public transit.
These people should have to live with their choices the same way they force us to live with them.
there is something inherently shitty that people in positions of power have to physically do the same things as people who are less fortunate than them to be able to empathise with them and make a change.
Do what makes you happy! #EthicalMemes
Rai without his earring here? Weird.
According to Beginning of Destruction he didn’t start wearing the earring until after the fight with Muzaka. I don’t believe we see him with the earring in any PL era flashbacks either.
Jesus Christ.
I’m speechless.
For those interested, a loose translation:
Title: Sentence pronounced on Mo Xiang Tong Xiu, charged with running illegal business.
Recently, the sentence has been announced on Mo Xiang Tong Xiu, author of Tian Guan Ci Fu, Mo Dao Zu Shi, charged with running illegal business, but the sentence is not to be disclosed.
It is reported that rumour of Ms. Mxtx being arrested and held under custody had been circulating online in the month August of 2019, with the reason being ‘illegal publishing and hence tax evasion’, but JJWXC.NET released a statement denying it: ‘Our site has never received notice from relevant department demanding help with inquiry, nor has the site or our employees been required to provide any relevant evidence.’ They also (back in August last year) said that their legal department were taking action against such libels.
For those wanting a little more context, this is about the author of Chinese BL webnovels, one of which has been adapted into the famous series The Untamed.
There has been rampant rumours about the author’s arrest for some time now. Partially the problem is that the Chinese legal system is very opaque. There is no requirement of transparency about who has been arrested, their charge, etc, and as you can see above, their sentence also.
Even a very prominent and mainstream success like Mo Xiang Tong Xiu can be arrested and charged and sentenced in this murky way.
Chinese creators are some of the bravest people on earth, continuing to make and share art in this toxic environment.
Thank you for reblogging this and a few things to add:
I know many fans saw YouTuber Ms. Xiran’s post and thought that this is a false alarm like last year - it isn’t rumour. It is understandable that Ms. Xiran wants to be careful with the news she shares, and it is also understandable that people don’t want to believe that such an awful thing can happen to the author of a well-known and widely loved work. But what’s happened has happened.
If you log into a Chinese social media platform today, you will not find anyone - anyone - who will deny that this is what’s happened - a sentence was pronounced on Mo Xiang Tong Xiu in the Criminal Court of Hang Zhou on 10th of November, 2020. The sentence is undisclosed.
I was wary of making assertive statements in my last post discussion arrest of danmei authors in general, but this time there is, I’m afraid, no space for any benefit of doubt.
In case anyone is still unconvined, here is attached a screencap of the actual sentence statement. You won’t find anything specific because it remains undisclosed, but you will find the reference code to the criminal case: (2020)浙0102刑初12号. If anyone’s interested, feel free to look it up in the online catalogue of the Chinese criminal courts. It’s there.
I know this must be hard to digest but this is the reality. Your beloved author and her work come from a fascist country where the report culture, hate culture, pure collective malice from complete strangers and the government with the most harsh censorship laws worked together to send an innocent, internationally-celebrated artist into jail, while companies continue to milk money out of her works. Let that sink in.
Her real name is as stated below in the picture. This woman gave you Wei Wuxian, Lan Wangji and all those beautiful characters from a beautiful story so at least remember that.

If you can’t or don’t want to come out yet, it’s okay. You’re fine. ♡
You’re not “letting down the cause” or being dishonest– you’re keeping yourself safe, and that’s what matters.
[ID: Tweets by Cora Harrington @/lingerie_addict [verified] that say:
I’ll say it again – one of the reasons that people with breasts and vulvas know so little about how they work and how to keep them healthy and what’s normal and abnormal, is because even the most casual discussion about our bodies is seen as pornographic.
When your body is sexualized – whether you want it to be or not – and information about the things relevant to you and your health are regarded as explicit content, it’s not only harder to access that information, there’s a stigma or penalty attached, especially from society.

purrrrr
pretty shitty how baseline human activities like singing, dancing and making art got turned into skills instead of being seen as behaviors
so now it’s like ‘the point of doing them is to get good at them’ and not ‘this is a thing humans do, the way birds sing and bees make hives’.
I know I’ve posted this before, but it bears repeating.
This is a thing humans do; you don’t have to be good at it to enjoy it.

Cant reblog this enough
I love that this shows both sides, how society is ingrained to see women as baby-makers and men as walking wallets who’s only worth is if they make good cash. Both are equally demeaning and limiting in different ways.
