Located at the foot of greatest mountain range in the world, Everest Base Camp makes for a spectacular trek. One of the best adventure trips out there. Mount Everest, soaring at an altitude of 29,029 feet, can be quite daunting to say the least – making Everest Base Camp a popular alternative. This trek explores small villages, decorated by iconic prayer flags of the Buddhist and Hindu traditions.
Among the many attractions of the trek, Everest Base Camp trek invites you to hike up to the exceptional viewpoint of Kala Patar at sunset. Experience the wonderful mountain scenery of the Khumbu. Dubbed by some as “the steps to heaven,” every bend in the trail provides an opportunity to take in this once in a lifetime experience. Beautiful forests, Sherpa villages, glacial moraines, and foothills can be seen throughout your trek. This is great adventure travel
The Annapurna Circuit - rightly known as Nepal's classic trek - is an incredibly varied and exciting journey. It offers an incredible variety of scenery.
The Annapurna Circuit – rightly known as Nepal’s classic trek – is an incredibly varied and exciting journey. It offers more variety than any other equivalent length trek. Kilimandscharo besteigen

Mountain gorilla trekking
Gorilla trekking takes you to the heart of Uganda, a wildlife lovers’ paradise. Be at one with nature – trek the dense African jungle with gorillas, enjoy river cruises in beautiful national parks and cycle through the magnificent scenery. There’s a wealth of adventure to be had in Uganda. The memories will last a lifetime.
Learn more about the Kilimanjaro routes
There are 7 different Kilimanjaro routes. We get questions about them a lot, and rightly so! There are many routes that lead to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. Each of the Kilimanjaro routes has it’s own pros and cons and should therefore be thoroughly researched in order to make an informed and educated choice.
Starting from Londorossi Gate to the summit and finishing at Mweka Gate
The Lemosho route approaches the mountain from the west. Before the climbing can begin, you will leave Moshiand take a 4 hour drive to Londorossi Gate. From there, you will spend the first couple of days trekking through the rainforest to Shira Ridge. You join the Machame route near the Lava Tower. The route then follows a path known as the Southern Circuit, traversing underneath Climbing Kilimanjaro Southern Ice Field. You then summit from Barafu, and descend via Mweka.
The Northern Circuit route is the longest and newest of the seven established Kilimanjaro routes
The Northern Circuit route is the longest and newest of the seven established Kilimanjaro routes. It is considered one of the best routes because of its great acclimatisation profile, high success rates, stunning views, and comparatively ‘relaxed’ pace. It is also much less frequented than the other climbing Kilimanjaro routes. Simply put, it is one of the best ways to experience the roof of Africa.

We have put together a Kilimanjaro packing list to help you get prepared for your Kilimanjaro climb and to know the requirements.
Temperatures vary significantly on all routes to the summit. So rather than few thick layers you should therefore use several thin layers of clothing.
Be prepared to experience a range from 30 degrees Celsius at the beginning of the trip down to -20 degrees on summit on very cold days.
Layered clothing is much easier to adjust when the temperature fluctuates and it is also more effective.
Furthermore, all clothing should be fabricated out of synthetic wicking material (stay away from cotton as it absorbs moisture and consequently dries very slowly on the mountain). Protect your extremities from the cold, since most heat gets lost on extremities and they are especially vulnerable to frostbites. Here is detailed list of what we recommend to maximise your experience and stay safe on the mountain.

But don’t just take our word for it. Winston Churchill was one of Uganda’s first tourists. When he explored the country back in 1907, he aptly coined the country the ‘Pearl of Africa’.
He was impressed, as so many others have been, by the country’s breathtakingly beautiful landscapes and diverse wildlife. Today, it’s just as magnificent.
The fact that Uganda is relatively unexplored is one of the things that makes it so appealing! Here’s our list of top 20 things to do in Uganda including gorilla trekking.
