more often than not coming off as cold and sarcastic if not just straight out a dick, but its something simon likes about you, the bluntness, the way the words come out of you before you can even think to care about their perception, simon likes watching the way you stop and then reform the thought into how it probably should've been said in the first place.
Ghost especially adores the juxtaposition of when you interact with animals and children. He finds it's the only time your smile looks natural on you as you lean down to pet a stray that's found its way onto base, or that one time you allowed a child to show off his toy to you.
Simon thought he'd find himself eventually annoyed with the way your hand digs into him at random times, almost like a subconscious impulse of yours. nails digging into his arm, sometimes just enough to scratch him softly, but most times digging deep enough to leave marks behind. Most days he finds it oddly comforting and satisfying to watch your nails dig into his forearm as your attention lies elsewhere, watching as it grounds you, the both of you honestly. especially if you have painted nails.
For the longest time he found it odd the way you'd stare at him, it used to piss him off honestly. Until you started listening to the voice in your head that wondered what i'd be like to touch the skull on his balaclava. these days he just sighs and settles into his chair so you can sit/straddle his lap while running your fingers on the grooves of the skull. He even found himself oddly flustered that one time you told him his eyes complemented the skull. he found himself bothered that it effected him so much, what kind of guy says shit like that?? ghost, simon even, knows and acknowledges he's a weird guy, but sometimes you say something so out of left field he finds himself unsure if he should be locking his door at night...
but then again, Simon liked that you were just as cagey about him as he was about himself, he fondly remembers the time he overheard soap ask about his birthday and you responded "fuck should i know, that's his business" or that time gaz asked you if ghost had any food allergies that one times he invited the team over for dinner and you responded by claiming you were the one allergic to shellfish rather than admitting it was simon, even if he later told the both of them himself, he appreciated how willing you were to not share things about him, regardless of how minor they may seem
he adored the way you'd manage to keep a straight face as he went on and on with dad jokes, the rest of the 141 at the very least cringing, he finds immense amusement when he manages to get you to roll your eyes at his jokes, its almost better than actually getting a laugh, almost and its half as good when you start finishing his jokes before he can get the punchline out. especially when it comes out frustrated or annoyed, he shouldn't be so giddy about annoying you but the ire in your eyes does something to him, especially when start muttering about how frustrating it is to love someone with his sense of humor, and it always makes him laugh when you call his humor broken.
there was also something about the way you seemed to show less skin than him, despite wearing a balaclava and gloves, seeing your forearms left him feeling like victorian man seeing an ankle, it felt scandalous and borderline thrilling, even if he'd seen you naked/near naked before there was something excited about watching you roll your sleeves up, especially that one time you were playing billiards with gaz at some bar
ghost likes that while everyone thinks he's down right scary, everyone thinks you're cruel and cold, he likes that your combined "synergy" so to speak, preventing strangers from coming up to the two of you. he finds it immensely amusing compared to the way gaz and soap seem to attract strangers and friends left and right.
