I realise that this is an unbelievably pedantic complaint but classic who didn't film in quarries in Wales lmao. It didn't become a BBC Wales production until 2005, prior to that it was shot out of London. The quarries were all in the south of England. 👍

A lot of Welsh Quarries are slate, in Northwest Wales, Particularly in the Eryri (english name Snowdonia) mountain range/national park:

with some of my personal favourites in South Wales being the abandoned limestone Herbert's Quarry in the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (english name the Brecon Beacons):

and the abandoned limestone Trefil Quarry just to the south of the Brecon Beacons' boundaries:

...lads, they DID film classic pre-2005 Doctor Who in Welsh quarries sometimes. This is a very famous production note from the original series. That's why the tweet is referencing it, in fact. The biggest example is Cwt y Bugail in the Five Doctors

Like yeah, most of it happened in the south east of England, sure, but it was an expensive show for a time that had the budget to travel a bit
