Akira doesn’t have the best family life, back home. His father’s alright on his own, but is pretty useless at finding the guts to step in when he should do. His mother on the other hand is fairly cold, and isn’t above slapping or berating her son when he disappoints her in any way. Even before his probation, Akira was used to being out until late at night, since she didn’t seem to mind that and it was easier than dealing with whatever mess might happen if he stayed home.
Given the chance, he’d rather keep living above Leblanc than go home.

That knowledge coming out was never going to be avoidable once they’d truly began to target Kamoshida. Still, there was a question he’d kept inside, even months later.
“So your leg... I know it stopped you from doing track, but is it permanent? You’ve had a problem since before we even me, though there are some things that are just slow to heal.”

“You know, if you’re really that hungry all of the time, you could just swing by Leblanc real late. There’s usually enough ingredients left to make some curry.” Sure, Boss was bound to notice eventually, but given how oblivious he was to something as big as harbouring phantom thieves, they’d probably get away with it. Anyway, on the off chance he did find out, he really didn’t seem to care about Akira’s friends invading the cafe.
