whereâs that article by james frankie thomas where he says like âprior to my transition there was only one kind of sex i wanted to have. and i thought i could never have itâ because i am about to blow these peopleâs minds
this is the article btw, i think (there's a different article linked in the replies but it's not the james frankie thomas one! the article in the replies doesn't IMO give a sufficiently nuanced idea of transness, the non-necessity of medical transition, and doesn't point out non-binary possibilities. the question-asker is like "i can't be trans because i like being a woman, i don't have dysphoria" while simultaneously talking about immense dysphoria and exclusively identifying mentally as a man during sex, and the response defers to the asker and doesn't push back on gender at all, which is a gentle response but maybe too gentle of a response IMO)
also, anyone who feels the above may also find the published diaries of lou sullivan interesting!
anyway, i like to keep dr. frank-n-furter's classic 1970s trans motto in mind: don't dream it, be it!
