deak watches the robot with a careful eye, blinking a few times. then it notices them. the apprentice’s eye widens and he decides to pick her up if she isn’t going to run. they have to hide. he has to get them out of here.

“ it’s coming for us! we’re going to die! ”

“ GAH! DEAK!! “ she doesn’t expect deak to pick her up, and her voice goes up an octave as a result. while the jr bookman is running at full force, lenalee sneaks a look back to see the komurin charging through the halls toward them.

oh. oh it’s CLOSE. deak is right, THEY HAVE TO HIDE. lenalee wraps her arms around his neck, clinging to him as he races down the hall. “ i hope you have a good hiding place! “

komui gives a soft hum as he wraps his arms around her, smile growing just a bit. of course it was to protect her. he loved her more than anything in this world. for her, he would do anything.

she still doesn’t leave, NOT YET. lenalee watches as the robot terrorizes the science division and a few finders who got caught up in the mix. it certainly does seem more POWERFUL than last time but--
