Part 2

-The amalgamation's movements are slowing and sloppy, while Tiger Eye's are only quickening with each passing second. She's feeling angry and annoyed, and it shows in the precise way she slashes through the mass of tortured gems and makes short work of it. She scans the perimeter for Cache- no sign of her, that coward. Tiger Eye stands up straight, all four eyes closed, and puts two fingers to her temple, as though she's trying to sense something.-

"Where did she go...? ...Over here! Trust me...!"

-Tiger Eye's face scrunches as she continues her search, and it is proving surprisingly difficult, much to her dismay. Her thoughts are swimming, emotions flailing, and for a moment it feels like they might unfuse. Then, just as soon as her inner turmoil begins its horrific cycle, it is abruptly halted by an overwhelming instinct. All four of her eyes snap open at once.-

"There."

-She's about to shadow-hop, when she is greeted by a familiar face. One she had hoped wouldn't show up.-

"Dagr... no, Forest...! Let's go...! But we need to make sure they are on our side...! There's no time... we need to stop Cache...! We can't just rush into things either...! Why not...?? She's got tricks... she might hurt someone we care for... Of course she would, why am I not surprised...?"

-Tiger Eye's hesitancy is enough to allow Dagr to enter the lab. She feels as though she cannot leave. Not yet.-

"...Unfinished business."

Dagr had entered with her weapon drawn; body clad in what looked like armor and hair tied back in a messy low ponytail, stance wide.

She faltered upon seeing the fusion, eyes widening briefly before snapping back to cold calculation.

"I don't want to fight you."

She began, forcing her voice to remain flat and free of her accent. It was on instinct, as Cache hated how she normally talked. Her grip on the handle tightened. What was she supposed to do here?

"Please, just.. Go. She has too many back up plans for you to do anything."

Lowering her weapon, Dagr tried to reason-- But immediately regretted her words as a flare of electricity erupting from the collar hit her hard, making her grit her teeth. Though she didn't fall like Spinel, she endured it. As she had to many times before.

"...Hhhg.. Just.. Go.. She will make me fight you.. I don't.. Don't wanna fight ya."

Her voice finally slipped back into her softer accent in the plea.

"I understand... and now I want you to understand something. What happens if we let Cache continue her actions unchecked? How many more gems will be mangled and glued back together like some... science experiment? ...Like what... Yellow did...

-Yet again, Tiger Eye becomes a little unstable, and her components struggle to stay fused for a split second.-

"Now... I'll ask you this. Are you going to be part of the problem? Or the solution? ...Hmm... in any case... En guard!"

-As swift as a black hole engulfs a star system, Tiger Eye jabs at Dagr with the point of her blade, attempting to goad the green gem into a fight. Her eyes are filled with.......

DETERMINATION.-

Dagr immediately deflected with her own blade, but faltered enough to only manage it for the moment, gritting her teeth and using a hand to wave the fusion away.

"I said I don't wanna fight! Please just.. Just go! I can't help ya if I wanted to, sh-- AH!"

The collar flared again, producing enough voltage that lines began to etch her form, starting from her neck.

"S-stars damn it! Jasper- Whoever ya are- LEAVE!"

She swung the blade across in a few simple motions, very quick with her reflexes and obviously trained in some manner, though trembling from the shocks. Dagr began heaving breaths, as if the collar was draining her of her voice.

i do have another suggestion. throw the fight. ill poof you in the least painful way i know how to. that way when you reform, you'll still have the collar and your memories, but cache wont be around to control you anymore. just trust me, okay?

you must have heard of fusion destabilizers before, right? well they have more than one use. when the prongs of the destabilizer touch the shock panel on the collar, the electrical frequencies short each other out for a split second. in that time, i will be able to tear the collar off of Star hopefully without hurting her. ill be as careful as i can.
