I'm in way over my head..!
"Someone, help!" A girl cried out, dashing as quickly as her legs could carry her through the dense woods- Hopping over fallen trees and pushing her way through heavy bramble.
Her running began to slow down as the forest transitioned to a long grassed field. The girl attempted to swallow her fear, turning to face the monsters that pursued her earlier, and holding her hand out. There was a small spark that instantaneously ignited into a ball of fire at her palm. She dared to use such a weak form of magic to protect herself- But what else could she use? The things managed to get a few good hits on her, and she wasn’t any kind of man of steel. She has her limits.
"What was I thinking?!" She breathed to herself, each heart beat getting steadily louder as the monsters crept closer and closer. "Aisha, you’re going to need a miracle to get out of this..!"
➹ A woman clad in green made her rounds in the forest she oh, so loved. The love was a haven-type, able to simply sit below the canopy of leaves to calm her tense nerves. Was it the smell, or the cool breeze? Perhaps it was just an instinct -- one she could definitely live with happily.
Everything seemed calm for a bit. The birds sang their songs from the branches above, but a sour note from afar caught the elf's attention. After the squawk, the younger girl's cry of assistance crossed her ears. That couldn't be...could it?
It was Aisha. Her Aisha was in trouble, and that sparked another instinct -- one of a fighter's. Rena's hand grasped the bow latched onto her back as her legs carried her to the source of the distress call. Naturally, her legs carried her far in a short amount of time -- so soon, that the monsters were in sight within minutes. She prayed to the Lady of El she wasn't too late.
The trees opened to a grassy plain and a pack of monsters surrounding a magician. The archer took a hold of her bowstring, aiming at the straight line of beasts. A magically-generated arrow formed in between her fingers, a bit larger than her regular projectiles. The arrow was shot, piercing through one, two, three enemies. They staggered, under the effects of a stigmatized shot. She ran quickly into her next attack with a back flip over her opponents and inducing a shockwave by plucking the bowstring without an arrow. The vibration launched the enemies, and as they made contact with the ground they were incapacitated.
After the commotion, Rena latched her bow back onto her back as a wave of concern flushed her face. She turned to face the girl, carefully placing gloved hands onto her shoulders. Emerald eyes widened to show overwhelming fear. "Aisha, are you okay!? You look a bit fazed, but... Oh, I'm just glad you're still alive!"
