long nights and teary eyed grins with my belly aching
you make it worth it, you make it easy, what would we do without friends?
we were put on this earth to love one another, teach our ways and share the weight.

im scared that one day you'll look at me with eyes like mine, that ill lose my shine and luster and you'll realize that people don't stick around me for a reason that I wasn't privy to know. I make assumptions though, I was too much or not enough for people that pinky swore on swings or cried in my arms about boys and said we'll get an apartment someday. I hope you never learn of the ways I'm hard to swallow or love but if you do, maybe it'll be okay.
does anyone else become a raging bitch when they're sick or just me..
Hey, it’s me Winston Overwatch. I have been fucking drafted. Help me. Fucking help me. How is school? Did you solve any problems on time? Please, call your father. He loves you. He fucking loves you. Dodge the draft they put in your mail.

when you come from a household that never celebrated anything like birthdays or holidays you really grow up to like completely HATE anything like it or become the most extra person ever in regards to anything celebratory. theres a secret third option where you like giving to others but you get sick to your stomach when its your birthday or when someone wants to gift you something...
I often gaze into the mirror to do my makeup, to do my hair, to brush my teeth, to do anything I need to do to feel like a functioning human in society. You would think that instinctual disgust that curdles in my gut wouldn't still burn the back of throat, that my lips wouldn't curl up everytime I get a glimpse of my appearance. I often stare into my own eyes and wonder how different life would be for someone smaller than me. Those days are coming less and less, my appearance may never be society's cup of tea but my appearance doesn't mean I'm not a human being first, that I don't have other more meaningful and long lasting things to bring to the table. After all, beauty never lasts but the conversations you have and the things you do can leave a mark that lives longer than your own existence.
imagine hating under someone's tumblr post like genuinely its not that serious (unless it actually is which yk)
spending your whole life feeling less palatable than the other girls your age,
and wishing you didn't leave a bitter taste after every interaction,
its not easy just, being.
you fill in the gaps of conversation with stutters and awkward silence, you eventually tell yourself you work better alone.
loving yourself is the hardest lesson a young woman needs to learn, you may never be the sun but the moon lights up even the darkest of hours.
ALL. OF. THIS.
you're pretty weird for a girl who tried to be normal her whole life
It's 6pm as I clock out from my job. The news is playing in the lobby, it casually reports on more death, there's bombs dropping on families in places I've never been. It's 6pm and I get to clock out and go home. I have to shower and unwind and then get a few hours of sleep so I can be up early for another day at work. Another young girl's body is found in my city, thats all that is left of her. Her mother's shattered, heartbroken, face is pushed aside for an ad for some new ai technology thats supposed to "change lives" but its 6pm so I go home. I go home to my cats, my family, and my life is fine. On the drive home I wonder about the families that are being ripped apart, the mamas that are having babies that will never grow up, did they ever get to know what life is really like without tasting ash when you breathe? or that home is a safe place where you can lie your head to rest and you can step outside and there's not a warzone at your feet?
the soul of a poet, a creative heart, transcends death. when I die they will look at my body and see words engraved into my ribs, my lungs a blue almost sad hue, they will have no reason to wonder why I was that way.
