Can i still nominate fics? Because on of my old fave writers just got started on a new fic and i kind of love it. Borrowed Time by toyaaah.

To the few people who still follow this dead blog, there is potentially a chance that it could be turned into a fic writing help blog. No guarantees, just an idea.

Regarding the delays in announcing the nominees:

I'm really sorry for all the delay! We've just had some severe disorganization, which caused the initial delay, but then I burned my hands and couldn't use a computer or iPod or phone for a week. 

We will have the nominees out as soon as possible. I'm working on the list right now. 

Part of the reason we're having such difficulties is because of how we're trying to set it up. We want this to be more than just another list of stories for you to read.

Why'd you drop best friendship?

There were a lot of unforeseen complications with it that hopefully we'll have worked out next time. This whole thing is learning how to fix things as we do them and figure out what works and what doesn't. I wish we could've had it this time, but things didn't work out that way, unfortunately.

We currently only have one nominee for Liam, so if you know of any great Liam fics that deserve more recognition, nominate them!

just out of genuine curiosity and no intention to bite your heads off, how are you judging what an unrecognized fic is?

Originally we were thinking a ratio of reviews:reads:chapters but that was never officially decided on, so for now if a story's already won an award of some sort, it's not an option. Then once we have all the stories that are approved by the judges and it comes down to choosing the best stories for reading & voting, if there's one that's obviously more popular than the others, it'll be gone before a fic with fewer reviews and reads. (:

for the oneshot submissions, can we submit one that we've already used for a challenge that never ended up getting judged?

I guess as long as the one shot fits the theme, it works!

Sorry! I voted for a story 10 times under MA and didn't realise I was spamming with the same 3 reasons! I didn't read the rules or was even aware of the rules! Now that I have came here, I see all the pressure and trouble you are having. I don't want to cause any more. So sorry about that! I hope the story is still eligible, otherwise the author would be upset by all of their hard work on their story. Again, sorry! :)

Thank you! The nominations are just to see what fics people want to get an award and it really clogs up the process having to scroll past the same one again and again and again. 

But I should probably add the rules on the nomination page for people who are just getting the link, so thanks for bringing that to my attention!
