I tried my hands on the drawing program of my husband @apostleflausch. Of course i had to draw the bestest creature in all of 40k, the mighty Squig. I left one is mine, the one on the right is by my husband. I hope you like my little drawing even though it could look a lot better when i get more experienced.

My thoughts on Gaiman's Sandman 1

Minor spoilers for the comic book ahead.

I just finished the first book of Neil Gaiman's Sandman Comic books and i can't wait to read the second one. I am a big fan of the use of the Sandman legend and the whole dream of the endless thing. That gives them the ability to get really creative with what they show and do. With this one I especially like the beginning which feels victorian england to me and that is a vibe i quit enjoy. But i also do like the magic users in this book and hope we will see more in the later books. I am quite fond of Wizards and Magician in any franchise and genre. Another plus for me is the connection to the DC universe. Unsurprisingly i love Dr. Strange and Marvel but the more darker aspects of the DC universe made it my favorite since time immemorial. And so finding all the references and appearances made me quit happy. Another small thing which speaks to me are the amazingly designed chapter pages with art I really would like to hang in my apartment. Overall really happy and already ordered the next two books. I will write about them too and about what I think :D

One of my favorite Lovecraft stories

Facts Concerning the Late Arthur Jermyn and his family is one of my all time favorites from H. P. Lovecraft. It carries the uncanny feeling like few others. I like the dichotomy of the two main settings, firstly Africa a beautiful continent rich in legends and stories and on the other hand you have this dark foreboding old mansion which serves as an anchor point for the reader to feel a bit claustrophobic but also cozy like reading in front of a fireplace. Both are diametrically opposite which makes the finale even more powerful in it's impact when they collide and mix.

Introduction: Hello to all who might be interested. My main interests currently are Warhammer 40k which I do competitively but i am not against a narrative game/campaign. I love reading books mainly philosophy/math books but also the mysterious and creepy fiction will find a home with me. I fell in love with HEMA a couple of month ago and that reignited my interest in the medieval period which I will satisfy with books and museum visits. Which translates a bit to my current 2 favorite Pen and Paper games, the german Das Schwarze Auge(the black eye) and Call of Cthulhu. I am open to any questions you would like to ask and hope you will find my musings and thoughts interesting.
