I take 'Dear Reader' very personally because I feel like it kinda connects with the fact that we, fans, always are like 'taylor is my bestie, she gives the best advices, she should be more vocal about some things, she should speak up on this and on that, I wish she could tell me what's her take on this problem, I wish she could tell me what to do' and sadly, we forget, she's a real person just like us and she's experienced things we have no idea about. I think she's trying to say: hey, you're broken and you want me to help you get through this, but Iook, I'm broken too. And now I really appreciate all the interactions she used to have with us on here, especially during 1989 era because she was literally falling apart and we didn't know, but still she was sending us comforting messages when we needed and she was trying to cheer us up when probably there was no one to cheer her up cause she was feeling super lonely as the line 'If you knew where I was walking to a house, not a home, all alone 'cause nobody's there' says. It's heartbreaking to think about but I am really happy she said it out loud. She can't solve everyone's problem cause she's not a god, she's a human being with emotions and heart.

To try and put it more poetically, it feels like we were standing on the edge of the folklorian woods and had a choice: to turn and go back or to travel further into the forest of this music. We chose to wander deeper in and my collaborators and I are proud to announce that my 9th studio album and folklore’s sister record is here. It’s called evermore. [x]
