Thinking of his exiled father as weak. The drow now known in the surface as Skjære naively ran away from home to prove himself worthy amongst his kind. However all his struggle and further debasement led to nothing. So he was twisted into a dark resentful thing. First on the inside, then out.
So I did mention Skjære was a former drider a few drawings earlier. These spider guys are not easy to draw lol 😅
Happy early Father`s Day to my Tav’s hardworking single Dad.
This comic was based on a comment I got about Tav Skjære’s background in the BG3 subreddit. I hadn’t thought about my Tav’s old man as a wizard until that point, but a drow baby learning to walk with the aid of a mage hand was too cute to not consider.

Takes place during a “long-rest” in which Minthara had to admit to Tav/Skjære that third sons are in fact not as useless lovers as she once thought 😅
He overheard that infamous banter she has with Gale and it got to him. So after some cold-shouldering and a confrontation, he finally had the guts to open up to her about his upbringing.
Also getting frisky in the open night sky because Skja worships Eilistraee, albeit rather poorly in his opinion…

After the great catastrophe came to pass, the great realm of Oberland fell just as the Magyans foretold.
Now the post-apocalyptic world tries to rebuild itself from it's ashes, all while the invaders from the deep set their eyes on it's landbound treasures, and a parasitic blight affects man and beast alike.
In the midst of it all, a mysterious, naive, yet gifted wild-child discovers civilization…and she might just be the key to save all that remains of what was once a great land.
Sneak peek of a somewhat longer thing I’m working on about my Tav’s backstory.
The older Drow is his pops. Once he realized his ambitious Matron’s latest third son had the same light rosy eyes only he possessed amongst her loverboys. The thought it was his tormented him, and couldn’t bear the thought of his son becoming yet another sacrifice no one but him would remember or care.
Since my Tav grew to look like a carbon copy of him, his parental spider senses were right
