Lets start here then shall we?
How many of you, when you first realise that there is magic in you, see the shadows out of the corner of your eyes? As if there is a person stood there?
I call them the Grey Men, because when I first saw them, that’s what they looked like. Faceless monks in grey hooded robes. From talking to others, that seems to be the general image. Someone described them as something wearing a human form, as if the robe/cloak was their skin. Others see them as just shadowy forms.
They are there because, well, you have magic. You have just started along that path, be it witchcraft or other, there is magic in your blood and you have started to tap into it. It is that initial tapping that draws them, and honestly, it can be scary as hell! I had a whole crowd of them around me when I first saw them, and it scared the heck out of me.
I’m not a novice any more, hell, I am a walking battery of magic, so I don’t see them any more, but I know when they are around, and I hear new witches talking about them, and that’s how I know that that person has magic in them, or the ability to tap into it.
Don’t let them scare you off! I think that might be their goal, steal the potential in you before you use it, stop people following the magic, and it must work, or they wouldn’t do it any more. Don’t be one of their victims, they’re just wicked creatures after power, and you are on the start of your journey
