pandora leads regulus away from any social gathering when he gets too overstimulated by all the noise and sits him underneath a random tree and starts braiding flowers into his hair btw
forever standing by the fact that barty refused to believe he was in love with a guy so instead of accepting his feelings for evan, just convinced himself he was in love pandora because they were identical (when he confessed to her she smiled and patted him on the head saying 'dont worry, you just need time' before walking away)
realizes heâs sick and sits up in bed then goes back to sleep, morning routine be damned. barty or pandora goes to find him and they see a mound of blankets.

being a james potter kinnie isnât enough i need to overthink every single interaction ive had with anyone ever just to make sure i didnât do something weird and they donât hate me and then proceed to think about every single awful thing that has ever happened to my friends and hate myself for not being able to stop them because i shouldâve been able to do something but i couldnât because i am a horrible horrible person who doesnât deserve happiness ever.
james would sing best friends brother at every gryffindor party with the most knowing look on his face while regulus would struggle to hide how red his face was (evan and barty always bullied him about it later)

When Regulus didnât sleep again, Dorcas made sure to charm his pillow to help him sleep better.
When Barty was in a manic-depressive episode, Dorcas was there to ground him or comfort him.
When Evanâs anxiety was acting up, Dorcas wrapped him in a blanket and sat with him until it passed.
When Pandora had a bad vision, Dorcas reassured her that it hasnât happened yet, and to appreciate that it hasnât been fulfilled yet, even if she didnât know what the vision was.
But who was there for Dorcas?
Of course, the rest of the group was there for her, but Dorcas never wanted to lean on them. Not when they struggled so much.
What did she struggle for?
Barely anything compared to them.
Regulus had abusive parents, Barty would undergo imperio all summer, Evan and Pandora heard and saw horrifying things from the future.
What was Dorcasâs biggest problem? The fact she experienced cruelties because she was a female Quidditch captain? Her parents are divorced but on decent terms?
That was nothing compared to their problems.
Then she found Marlene.
âDorcas, youâre always helping your friends,â she murmured from her girlfriendâs lap, putting their shared cigarette to Dorcasâs lips. âAnd I donât ever see you opening up. Isnât that exhausting?â
âMaybe a little,â Dorcas replied, softly stroking Marleneâs shaggy hair as she blew the smoke from her lungs. âBut itâs ok. For them, itâs worth it. Iâm grounding to them.â
âBe realistic, Cassie. Maybe itâs even more grounding for them to know youâre struggling too.â
Dorcas had never thought about that before. Maybe Marlene was right.
Maybe it would be more grounding for them to know.
She didnât have to be strong, she should be realistic.
Dorcas usually is realistic. So why couldnât she be realistic with this?
