but then Marlene crashes and gets and Dorcas rushes straight for her hospital room after the race. They both end up apologizing and start a hesitant “friendship”

They end up hooking up in the bathroom of a championship event, leading to Dorcas trying to distance herself from Marlene to protect “both their careers”

Marlene doesn't stand for it, she confronts Dorcas at her flat and in the months following they become a couple

something about rin and nezha as the sun and the moon. nezha as the quiet and cold, rin as the loud and vicious. something about the fact that the moon only shines the light the sun reflects on it. the moon can exist without the sun but it cannot truly live without it. something about rin being the lone star, unaffected by the things around her. something about nezha being a satellite to the earth (nikan) - a pawn to the system. something about rin saying he looks so different in the moonlight. something about him stabbing her in the moonlight. something about him killing her on the island where she was born - signifying the death of a star and its return to where it came from. something about him worshipping the way she shines, knowing he won’t be the same when she stops.
