I'm like a month behind on the pod, but I was just listening to the bit about low carbon travel and last year I went round the world without flying, for this reason. You have to save for a bunch longer which obviously is not possible for everyone but I would actually recommend cargo ship travel! I spent two weeks learning about the day to day life in an industry I'd never thought about, and like I got to hang out on the bridge and see the engine room and chat to crew and yeah it's pretty cool.

OK! take it from Green-Girl-00…cargo ship gravel is actually pretty cool!

If you're flying standby and never have a definite seat would that be considered carbon free travel? That plane is going to fly whether you're there or not so it should totally count.
