.*This isn't Heartland*.[[open]]
Ren decided to slip out of his apartment today, and take a stroll around Civ9. What did he plan to do? Who knew! He was a curious person, so he was just going to find something that sated his curiosity. Besides, Ren hadn’t explored the whole civilization, so he could do that now- while Fang was somewhere else. Where had she gone? Ren wasn’t too sure, but he wouldn’t worry too much.
He took a liking to the one that was supposed to be a future ‘spouse’ of him, and he hoped that they will get to know each other even more. Ren had always been told he was a complete weirdo, yet a good judge of character. He had that feeling that nothing bad will go between the two of them, that’s all!
He decided to avoid the crowds, and other people in general. Well, at least avoid them until he found someone that sparked a particular interest in the red head. There were so many people though! He couldn’t really just pick one to go up to and bother. Hm, what shall he do…?
Right! There was so much more than the town of Civ9. Maybe he should go around the outskirts, where the crowds started to thin up, then maybe he could hunt down someone interesting there… He made sure to bring his Vanguard deck with him too. Oh, how he wished he could have a Cardfight with someone right now! It had been awhile since he fought with his trusty Gold Paladins. It had been awhile since he felt the power of PSYqulia too… It was just odd that there weren’t a lot of cardfighters around here! He thought this card game was popular, especially in Japan… Why didn’t it carry?
Alright, hide-and-seek is over!! I don’t like to play games, so I’d suggest making yourself visible before I start calling the shots!!
Oops.
Busted.
“You don’t like to play games?” He wasn’t particularly hiding from the stranger, but he had seemed to look rather shady since he was creeping about around the outskirts..! The red head pouted at the other, “Why not? You sure are missing a lot of fun out here! There must be a game you like to play, there’s no need to be such a party pooper,” despite his awfully whiny and disappointed tone, he then smiled, and waved, “My name’s Ren!“
The other's bluntness shocked the blonde. Even half-hidden in the tangled mess of growth, it appeared the male wasn't attempting to hide from him. No other man had addressed him in such a tone. Or maybe someone had...? Nevermind, it's not like he'd met this wayward before.
"Please, I have better things do than play games!!" Kaito spat the last part out, disgusting by even pushing the word from his lips. One particular game always surfaced in his memory; duel monsters. You might think this was quite hypocritical of the blonde, being as Kaito one of the greatest duelist in the world. His skill and strategy far surpassed the level of the power-lusting commoner he had too many encounters with. Yet, there was a immense difference between being good at something, and enjoying something. He considered it the gravest mistake of his life, the day he asked his mentor to teach him the revolting game.
Every duel was only a reminder of how much he despised such games.
"Trust me on this, get your head stuck in such foolish games, and you may find yourself too deep to dig yourself out!" Nonetheless, he trapped the emotions back in his mental barrier, locking the hatred away from his mind. This boy wouldn't understand anyway. "The name's Kaito. Since we've gotten past introduction now, I think it's time you told me why you thought creeping around was a good idea..."
