FOWL FEST DAY 5 !!
I missed all the other days but you can't blame me because I didn't know there was a fandom -- warning though, as I only read the first book and haven't finished the second,, I'll probably change this when I'm done reading all of the series

Passion "Pamper" Bloem — Male, Sprite
HIGHLIGHTS:
☆ almost about as old as Commander Root
☆ tries to be a realist but is too optimistic
☆ springy and surprisingly in shape for his age
☆ kind, slightly obtrusive, soft-spoken but becomes stern when he wants to set the message straight
☆ used to have a bit of an accent and energetic personality, but dulled himself down to be more polite and calm so as to make patients feel less pressured by him.
☆ resigned being an LEP officer after a long while ( a few centuries at the very least ) to work as a psychiatrist // or paramedic warlock ( still working out that one )
☆ has pink hair, yellow eyes and green skin
☆ was named after the passionflower
☆ likes: making others feel better, mosaics, flying (obviously), being relied on, training himself, praise/praising, plants, pissing Root off, listening to ramblings from a certain centaur, creating new things with said centaur, crime novels, noirs, shiny objects
☆ dislikes: people with no manners, getting his wings wet, cigars, people messing up his organisation, getting help from Root in things he could've done himself, his patients not heeding his words
WHAT IMPACT WOULD HE HAVE ON AF CANON?
▪︎ not much by a large margin in terms of the main plot, but will change around the backstories of multiple people, and would've created a few plot lines through his connections

RELATIONSHIPS — INTERVIEW:
☆ Holly Short — "I worry about the risks she's taking, but she's got good spirit, and you have to admire her for it."
▪︎ Pamper admires Short's bravery and fighting spirit, but does occassionally feel nervous for her, especially since she gets into such dangerous missions and her neglectful behaviour to rituals and own self. Always nags and reminds her to do the ritual and to get actual breakfasts. If she doesn't do it, then Pamper usually packs her lunch.
☆ Foaly — "I really don't quite understand why him and I don't hang out more often. Shame, really..."
▪︎ Do NOT pair these two together against Commander Root. Foaly has the witty words, Pamper has the audacity. The two always pair up and make sure to play along whenever they get a good thing going against Root. Would've made those that created the bet that Root was going to die in a few years become filthy rich. It's why he made sure the two worked in completely opposite sections at mostly different times.
☆ Commander Root — "What is it about Commander Root you'd like to know?"
▪︎ Almost complete opposites. Pamper finds him hilarious and admires him, but doesn't say it. The two have a long, long history together. Even before the academy, right up to being LEPrecon officers. They don't talk as much due to busy lives, but they occassionally pass by like boats in the ocean whenever a mission requires a medical warlock.
☆ Briar Cudgeon — "Ah, how unfortunate that he turned out to be the kind of man he is..."
▪︎ Pamper didn't have any thoughts about Cudgeon before Cudgeon tried to become acting Commander, but afterwards he started to really dislike him because 1. he felt bad for Root and 2. that's low for him
☆ Artemis Fowl — "Uh... Pardon? The human?... Well... I just don't understand that boy..."
▪︎ Pamper doesn't know what to think of Artemis. He knows that he's respected, but he doesn't necessarily like him. The whole kidnapping incident made him hold a bit of a grudge. Worries for Artemis' mental state and gets paranoid that he somehow got one of his spy inventions on him and is getting watched.
RELATIONSHIPS — OUTLINE:
▪︎ Holly Short: Close Coworkers
Holly to Pamper: Friendly, acts annoyed about the nagging but appreciates the fact he cares, often tells Pamper on Root
▪︎ Foaly: Close Friends
Foaly to Pamper: Teasing, always looking forward to talk about his newest ideas and inventions to him
▪︎ Julius Root: Distant Close Friends
Root to Pamper: Stern but not completely cold, doesn't talk nuch about him because he has "other things to worry about"
▪︎ Chix Verbil: Acquaintances
Chix to Pamper: Often learns wing/flying tips from Pamper, talks about sprite things with him
▪︎ Briar Cudgeon: Acquaintances
Cudgeon to Pamper: Knows Pamper from Root, genuinely didn't know the two were friends because they used to argue a whole lot, starts to dislike Pamper because of his little potion-making and healing assists

Is it hard being a medic in LEP missions?
Compared to LEP officers? Definitely not. However, aside from the comparison, it does take a lot of my energy out of me, which is why I maintain such a strict ritual calender. Seeing open wounds and bone always makes me shiver, but I can't focus on that when I need to help an injured fairy, can I?
It is mentioned that Commander Root and you have stuck together for a long time. Are you close with Commander Root?
Hmm... That's difficult to answer. We're close, but I don't think I can define our relationship with words. Me and Commander Root can work in harmony when it's just the two of us, but when there's a third party we bump heads. It's an odd thing. One moment we're perfectly synchronised, the next I'm being threatened to be fired. There is one thing I can say for sure. I would like him to stop putting his feet up on my desk and stubbing his cigars out with my mug. Doesn't he know I need that place sqeaky clean for my patients? He isn't the only one that comes in, you know? Also, I'd like for him to stop being hostile to my patients. Of course they're going to be angry, they're in pain! Really, he—

What are your top 3 tips for young sprites and/or upcoming medics?
For sprites: never get your wings wet, take your time in letting your wings grow, don't be overly confident in your abilities to fly, you need to be just as careful as every other fairy so don't rely on your wings all the time. For medics: be patient with your patient, your patient may be irritable because of their injury but that doesn't mean you should argue with them, and ask for a second opinion when in doubt.
What is your most treasured possession?
Some seeds I scavenged back when I was an LEP officer. I planted one and take care of it as if it were my child.
What are your hobbies?
I like gardening as it really practices my patience and usually calms me down. It really makes me more aware of life and all that philosophical stuff. And, it gives me something to focus on. I feel like a parent every time I remember how small my plants used to be.
What keeps you up at night?
All the fairies I couldn't save. Either their life, or losing something important... I'm not sure. I still feel guilty even if someone like an injured sprite made a full recovery. There was a case, similar to Chix' wing situation. Got shot, most arteries blown through and the blood pumped out fast. The sprite recovered, but they couldn't fly any more which was unfortunate because that was their favourite thing to do. Sometimes I wonder if I could have done anything to help them better.
Who is your best friend?
Myself, haha. In seriousness though, I think maybe Foaly, but shush, don't tell Commander Root, I don't want to hurt his poor feelings, haha. We just hit it off the bat. If one of us goes one way, the other is sure to follow. His inventions are super interesting and I love hearing the intricacies. Nobody appreciates him as much as they should. I genuinely think fairies would've caved in to the humans if it weren't for Foaly.
