Aaaaaaaughhhh there was a drawing on here I saw recently that was exactly the concept I was considering for a tattoo. But alas, I forgot to like it or save the post anywhere so it has vanished into the sea of endless digital content. Woe

Shoutout to my lymph nodes for working so hard to suck up all those extra bodily juices. Their work is truly underappreciated
Another art dump because I always forget to post here
Just a lil practice icon
I don't know how many of my followers are furries but we just lost one of ours.
He died because the medical industry in the US refused to help. He was murdered in a million little ways, with a million automated systems.
He was on bluesky no more than five hours ago, now he's gone.
Dragoneer ran FurAffinity, which is more or less the furry art site. It looks like its' from the early aughts, has no native pdf support, and has zero discoverability or algorithmic function. It's home to me, it's always been home.
No matter how often I moved or how often my life radically changed, there was FA. I met my husband on the forums. Through the majority of its' life, Dragoneer kept it running. He never sold us out, never tried to keep up with trends. It's a community.
And there is something bitter about losing someone who was key to keeping one of the relics of the internet before corporations took over.
We have our home, but it's lost its' keeper.
Good night, Neer. You kept the lights on.
There's a little ritual FA has. The dead aren't forgotten or deleted, nor is the passing unmarked.
Normal, unbanned accounts are tagged with a tilde before the username, like this
In the event of a death, the symbol is changed to an infinity sign. My friend Anna passed three years ago
I guess it's one more user added to the list
Here for a little time, remembered in the community forever.
Some of the artfight attacks I've done so far!

I'm preparing for my 6th year on Artfight! More info under the break.

Everything sucks right now so I drew an onion
So earlier in art class today, someone drew a characters hands in their pockets and mentioned that hands are really like the ultimate end boss of art, and most of us wholeheartedly agreed. So then, our teacher went ahead and free handed like a handful of hands on the board, earning a woah from a couple of students. So the one from earlier mentioned how it barely took the teacher ten seconds to do what I can’t do in three hours. And you know what he responded?
“It didn’t take me ten seconds, it took me forty years.”
And you know, that stuck with me somehow. Because yeah. Drawing a hand didn’t take him fourth years. But learning and practicing to draw a hand in ten seconds did. And I think there’s something to learn there but it’s so warm and my brain is fried so I can’t formulate the actual morale of the lesson.
Saying "I'm not going to draw this thing because I don't know how to draw this thing" is really shooting yourself in the foot, because you've now cut yourself off from an opportunity to grow.
I had a friend in college who was an absolutely amazing artist. I loved seeing his work! One time I said something to the effect of "I could never do that."
He told me something that, as an artist, I resonate with. He said art isn't about natural talent; it's a learned skill. When you tell an artist their level of skill is impossible for you to reach, you're assuming their level of skill is a natural gifting they have, and it discredits the hundreds to thousands of hours of hard work they've put into getting where they are today, and you're cutting yourself off from trying to reach that point yourself.
The world needs more ditto fanart
A quick lil custom and pfp I drew for a buddy of mine that's new to the fandom. He had an idea for a frutiger aero themed manatee, and since I love drawing unique characters I just had to doodle him up something.
It was a bit tricky figuring out the anatomy since I've never seen anyone draw a manatee furry before. They're actually really fun to draw though! I'm really happy with how the icon turned out.
I made a small chibi ref sheet for my fursona recently to show some of the design changes I've made. It's missing a few things but it's still cute and well drawn.
Here's an old batch of rendered icons I did in 2023. It's rare that I have time to open slots for these but I love drawing them. They always turn out so pretty, too.
This is one of my favorite pieces in my portfolio. It was a rendered halfbody commission for a user on Flight Rising. It didn't do well on my other platforms because of how busy and bright it is, but maybe it'll do better here.
Another small art dump showing off my flat lined style. Mostly headshots and busts since that's what I get commissioned for the most, but I'll be posting some of the fullbodies I've done later in a separate post.
