the idea is that there's copy cats around trying - for their own reasons - to replicate junko's killing games. wahoo. these unlucky chucklekfucks get chosen one.

so like, first things first. names. Yoshioka's first kanji can translate to good luck/fortune/auspiciousness. so lol. the second kanji = hill. good luck directly. fortune hill if you want something more artisy. Yuuka is a bit more, the first kanji has quite a few different meanings, but the most fitting one is Skilled, the one that makes the most sense in this context is Harmonious cause the second kanji means flower. lol.

ANYWAYS. Yuuka is 'lucky' in the way that if its completely random, say, a raffle or a wheel or what have you she will be chosen. so. say you're in a trial. with a bunch of teenagers. none of who happen to be the SHSL detective. methinks the votings gonna be pretty random. yuuka thinks the same. anyways. she seems air headed but she's rather quick. like chiaki, honestly. every mornings flips a coin. tails means a good day. heads means meh. she flips more heads than tails. her coin may be weighted unbeknownst to her. the 'big thing' she's forgetting is her reasoning for being chosen to danganronpa; is her sister. her sister has danganronpa'd before. dun dun dunnn

herh derh durrh. shes like an unholy combination of byakuya, kokichi (if u rlly think about it acting is just professional lying), and nagito. less so nagito than the others but she is unhinged. i like to imagine she has different personas she switches in to. because lol. she wants to find and defeat the mastermind, ultimately, but of course she never just tells anyone she wants to do this. instead. she fucks w shit to put on a '5 star show!' like byakuya if his reasoning for messing w a dead body was worse. she comes across as a nuiscene. i like to think she catches out the mastermind through shenanigans that involve making is seem like she died. but she is instead cosplaying the person who actually died. idk how this catches the mastermind but it helps. god she hates fake people. which is ironic, really.
