My Discord Got Hacked

(Might deleted this later, but for now: Safety first.) So my discord account (raygor) got hacked due to me falling for a trick, so just a heads up to anyone who I know here who I chat to on that platform to please do not click any links or anything it tries to send. Don't download anything don't run any apps. Please spread the word if possible.

Follow up so people can ID the scam and hopefully get ahead of it: I was DM'd by an individual I was familiar with but hadn't talked to for a few years. I suspect their account had already fallen for the same scam and thus was in the same spot I would end up in. In this message, they asked if I could help test a friend's college game demo. They provided a url post to a blogspot (First red flag honestly). The page was *just* well done enough to seem legit for a school project of game dev stuff.

Attempting to download and run the program is very likely when the malware was deployed. It closed my discord client and my web browsers. When I attempted to log back into discord, I was "body swapped" (??) to a new phantom account with only a dm open to the hacker demanding an ransom for my info back. Unclear how this happened as people I know are reporting seeing my older/original account in servers, etc., under the hacker's control. So heads up to everyone please be aware of this attempt as some folks I know are reporting my account is trying to deploy the same message of "college game testing". Don't click that link or download it or anything.

Another follow-up: Looks like the account (Formerly? raygor) is getting stripped down and turned into a burner so please report it and block it if you need to. So, so sorry to anyone affected by this.

Addendum: The account now goes by "lovinnye" now so heads up on that.

Final(?) update for now. Was able to work with discord support to claw the account back from "elphye". Did the full password reset, etc. However it was entirely stripped down with all prior friends removed, left all the servers, and so forth. Replaced with what I assume to be other scam artists and or victims and their hubs. Probably just gonna delete it in the near future.

If anyone wishes to reach out and reconnect on my new account please feel free to reach out! Otherwise I sincerely apologize to everyone that was affected either directly or by the shockwaves of this incident.
