Goldenroar Fanfic.
A small fic inspired by @worldwideheaven drawing. And way of venting after finding out Jorge R. Gutierrez is now pro-AI.
I once got hooked by characterai.com in the past but those days are over! And to prove it! Here's what I made using my own thoughts and heart. The writing might suck but at least it's not made by AI.
Warning: Underage drinking.
Manny woke up with a killer headache, after his vision cleared, he saw that he was in his room. When he got up, he tripped over something…or rather someone.
“Ah!”
Manny turns around to see Carlito, whose eyes were just as wide as his when he saw him.
“What are you doing in my room?!” They exclaimed in unison.
“Your room? Listen, idiota this is…” Carlito’s voice trailed off as he looked around and realized that the other boy was right, “Your room. What the fuck happened last night?”
“Last ni—oh…Hold on, I’m remembering.”
LAST NIGHT.
The League of Alliance Society was throwing a party for all the young heroes to congratulate them for their hard work; Manny didn’t want to come but his dad insisted on giving it a try. This was related to the fact that he and Cosmic Cleopatra became…close after partnering up to stop a vampire cartel. Speaking of them, he saw the two superheroes chatting happily, Manny couldn’t help but feel conflicted, sure the woman apologized for the way she treated him, but it felt weird seeing his dad laugh like that with someone who wasn’t his mom.
He redirected his attention to the buffet table, when he was about to grab a pair of nachos, when a hand snatched them. Manny looked up to see the Golden Eagle Twins, he scowled. Just what he needed.
“Sorry, where you going to eat those?” Carlito asked smugly.
“Nice to see you, Eagle Brats.” He sneered.
“What are you doing here, El Tigre?” Carla questioned, “This is for heroes only.”
“I could say the same thing about you. I’m here for my dad.”
“So, the rumors are true! He IS dating Cosmic Cleopatra!” Carla snickered. Manny frowned at this.
“As if! They’re just… friends.”
“Sure. Whatever you say, Manny.” Carlito said.
Manny grumbled as he went to grab the closest thing in the table—a soda bottle—down his mouth.
“Hey! That’s mine!” An older teen hero complained.
Manny didn’t listen to him as he walked away, accidentally bumping into Carlito and making the nachos hit his shirt, ruining it.
“Oye! You are going to pay for that!” He said as he went after Manny.
After catching up with him, Carlito took away the soda bottle and said.
“You ruined my shirt!”
“Oh no, the horror!” Manny snarked, “Now, can I have my soda back?”
Carlito narrowed his eyes and took a long swig. He wiped his mouth with his hand and said.
“Oops, I finished it all.”
Back in the present.
“But happened next?” Manny
Carlito scratched his head, “I remember… Hey! You punched me!”
“You deserved it! And you punched me back! And-And then… we fought! But I can’t remember why everything is so fuzzy!”
Then Carla appeared through the window.
“I can answer that.”
“Carla!” the boys shouted in unison.
“Hey, bro. Here’s what’s happened after you went after El Tigre.” She explained…
Past.
Carla began to fill her plate with desserts. She saw an older teen hero approaching the hero whose soda got stole by Manny.
“Dude, this party is lame, you got your ‘special soda’?”
“No. Some kid in a tiger costume took it from me!”
“And you didn’t stop them?! You know we’ll get in trouble if they found out that’s actually liquor that kicks in slowly!”
Carla’s eyes widened. She knew her brother was going to take a swig to spite El Tigre. He was going to get drunk. She couldn’t let Carlito ruin their ‘spotless’ reputation.
When she ran outside, she gasped as she saw the most horrific sight.
Present.
“What did you saw? Was the fight that bad?” Carlito asked in a worried tone.
“Why don’t you take a look at your neck, hermano?” She handed him a mirror, Carlito lowered his shirt and saw he had a few bite marks on his neck.
“Que carajo?!”
Manny gasped as he remembered everything.
Past.
The boys were fighting on the ground, though their moves were getting slow as they found themselves extremely tired.
“Wha-Was happenin?” Carlito asked, his words becoming slurry, “Fight me.”
“I’m already…fightin…you” Manny replied, “You just weaaak…”
“Shut up, tonto…”
“You shuddup… idiota…”
The boys stared at each other before Carlito’s lips crashed onto Manny’s. The other boy was confused but gave in as he savored the golden dork’s soft lips…
Present.
Both boys slowly turned to face the other, shock in their faces.
“I’m so sorry!” Manny shouted.
“What?”
“I-I took advantage—”
“No, you didn’t.” Carla cut him off, “Once I saw you atop of my brother, I knocked you out immediately. You two owe BIG TIME! I had to carry you, get you inside Manny’s house, then had to came up with a convincing story to White Pantera…”
“Okay, we get it!” Carlito said before looking at Manny and adding, “This NEVER happened.”
“Never! But before you go…” The boy handed Carlito a tube of foundation.
The eagle-themed hero took it before going flying away with his sister.
Manny sighed as he went back to his bed and stared at the ceiling deep in thought. He remembered how much he liked the kiss. But…oh no. Please don’t tell me he has a crush on Carlito?! Oh god, no…
Unbeknownst to him, the other boy was wondering the same thing.
