Oh god, my neck still hurts.
Enough to have you on the floor?
" Hmm.. ————"
"Darling, sleeping in a casino is not exactly a smart thing."
Rebekah returned with smile of her own, and took an open seat at the bar-top. “You are Francesaca if I am not correct?”
"The one and only one." Francesca chuckled as she sat back down. She recognized the woman before her, it was her duty to do so. If there was one thing Francesca excel at, it was knowing her enemies. "And you must be Rebekah. Rebekah Milkaelson. To what do I owe the pleasure of your visit?"
Jackson’s eyes raised to meet the bartenders when she spoke. She was lucky that he didn’t ask for just water. “Well, I’m about to give all of my money away to those slot machines over there,” he raised his hand, an almost sad smile gracing his features as his thumb shot out to gesture towards the machines, “So I think the cheapest would be for the best.” He raised a brow at her words, and he sat up a little straighter, “Celebration?” He asked, rather entertained. “For what, exactly?”
A perfect brow arched at his reply. Her brown eyes barely flickering towards the slot machines. "You're planning to waste your money on a game of luck? You do realize that you may spend your entire money, and not win once? What kind of desperate man does that." She finally spoke. Francesca was now curious as to why the wolf would wager his money. Her first guess what that he needed something. "Well don't you know, boy? This a long family tradition. Meant for pure entertainment. For a night where you could forget your troubles as you watch the lights float." She replied with a chuckle, grabbing one of her finest bottle and poring him a drink. "On the house."
Rebekah had been suspicious of Francesca since the moment she’d met the woman. Despite her brothers wishes, she had decided to scope the woman out for herself. “How about a Whiskey?”
Putting on her best smile she nodded, pushing her tray away and grabbing a bottle of whiskey. "One whiskey coming up." She replied as she slid the glass towards her.
Jackson sat at the bar of the casino, clearly both looking and feeling uncomfortable. Due to the curse put on them, none of them could hold down a steady job, and with winter coming blankets and coats were a necessity for the pack that was stuck in the Bayou. So why not gamble away the few bucks to his name, right? He’d yet to make the move. “Get me the cheapest thing you have,” he grumbled out, resisting the urge to let his head fall into his arms.
"Cheapest drink?" She asked, feigned shock as she straighten up. "Are you sure you want that, because It might not taste very well." And as her eyes examine him closely, she recognize him from the Bayou. The Alpha of the pack. Her lips turned up into a smile at this new discovery. It was Oliver she was making the deals with, bu it couldn't hurt to get to know the Alpha. "Tonight is a night of celebration, one that should not be celebrated with a cheap drink."
Seeing someone walking towards the bar, she looked up. "What can I get you?" She asked, because even though she did have people working that night. Francesca still liked looking over her casino herself.
The same, actually. I’m afraid that I wasn’t exactly the most social however after my parents passed. But then again, who is?
You have my deepest condolences. I have to agree with you, but there are exceptions to the rule. Some seek comfort in others, but your reaction is --- understandable.
"That’s quite alright. Hate this shirt anyway."
"Very well then, if you would grab that flower pot right there, I'll grab the other one. Though I am wondering: if you hate the shirt, why are you wearing it?"
"You are more then welcome. No - no one is sitting there" Tim smiled cheeks turning a touch red out of embarrassment.
Chuckling, she nodded before taking her place on the seat beside him. "No need to blush, dear boy. I don't bite."
One look at the woman and he wanted to get defensive. He didn’t know what it was about her that got to his nerves; each time he was around her, it was almost like he wanted to tense up for a fight, but couldn’t. Her stupid eyes. She and her stupid eyes could distract the hell out of him. Oliver had never preferred brunettes over blondes, but he sure had a fondness for this brown haired lass. “Yeah, I’m a huge bundle of surprises,” Oliver half joked, already moving to help her out. If there was one thing he knew how to do, it was easy minded physical labor. His actions automatically remember helping Vivian do the same thing a few months back. “It better be two drinks with all this dirt. This is my favorite shirt.” It wasn’t entirely his ‘favorite’… because he’s thinks it’s dumb to have a favorite piece of clothing. But damned if he wasn’t getting two drinks out of this.
"Many of which I'm looking forward to uncovering." For the first time, Francesca said something truthful. Knowledge was power after all, and she wanted all the power. She knew little of his life and those of his pack, and while he was not the direct alpha, he was the one she could get to easily. She had the one thing Oliver wanted; a strong ally. While Francesca wanted to take control of the city, Oliver wanted to break his curse. Maybe they could kill two birds with one stone, or maybe she would find him useless. But in order to find out anything, she needed his trust. Therefore with a small smirk she turned around and picked up one of the pots. "No one asked you to wear it, but very well. If you're lucky, I'll double them." She added as she began to walk towards the back of her home.
“Uh, yeah it did..I’m sorry if I interrupted your work I just wanted to be sure that nothing happened.” Stacey said quite fast feeling her cheeks flush.
"No need to feel embarrassed, you were merely trying to be selfless and look out for my well being." She replied, a small smile forming. "How about I invite you a glass of lemonade, for looking for me?" The short girl seem familiar, maybe from her visit to the Bayou.
Alright then, suit yourself. Are you a tourist or something? I haven’t seen you around these parts before.
I was born and bred here, for that matter. What about you? I tend to know everyone in this city, but your face is a new one as well.
”— What was that? I wasn’t paying attention.”
"I said, is anyone sitting there." She repeated, her finger pointing to the empty seat beside Timothy.
I forgot how early everyone gets obsessed with Christmas. Remind me again why the Christmas lights are already on?
People tend to love Christmas for two reasons: the hope it brings or the gifts. Either way, I agree. Thanksgiving has not even happen yet.
Need a light?
Oh no, I don't smoke.
"You’re not often telling me things I don’t already know, so don’t start now." Her careless words about his pack had his body threatening to tense up in defense, but he told it to relax and so it did, listening to him for now. He felt protective of them, even more so than usual, when around the brunette woman. The worst part was she thought herself dangerous, and unfortunately, probably was. "Oh, I could. I can grow the hell out of some tomatoes. You’d be surprised."
"I was merely stating a fact, Oliver. No need to get so defensive." There was a tone of kindness behind her words, but it was all a lie. Just like everything was. She had manged to make him cooperate to some extent, now all she needed was his trust. Francesca wanted more information, she was greedy. But she knew one thing about his pack; they weren't as strong as hers considering she had the army he needed to take back the city. "Really? I did not take you for someone that would do such thing, but I guess life is full of--surprises." She paused, the charming smile still on her. "How about this: you help me move these last few plants and I offer you a drink?"
