okay also... even if they can keep the centrifuge spun up to 1g for the entire gestation, they have to go down to Erid at some point. Some of my headcanons:
the kid is agender nonbinary and uses neopronouns (ey/em/eirs) and eir name is something that gets shortened to one syllable (ex. Emily -> Em) so Eridians can (kind of) say eir name.
Due to the extra gravity ey end up being significantly shorter than an average human (like less than 5ft tall) but ey dont mind because it means ey're closer in height to Eridians.
It took way longer than normal for em to learn how to walk since ey were always bear-crawling everywhere (only hands + feet touching the ground) (like an eridian) and, as a kid, ey got REALLY good at it.
As an adult ey have thick muscley limbs and still have fat on eir body! Not skinny and wiry like eir dad because ey grew up in an environment with so much more gravity.
Ey wear so much jewelry!! To the point that, on eir arms, it's kind of like armor. Because it makes em look/sound more like an eridian.
Ey speak in a mix of eridian and English. Mostly english, because most eridian words involve multiple notes (to make a chord) which humans just can't do. But there are some eridian words which are only one note, and ey have found every single one and ey use them at every opportunity.
Eir clothes are the same mottled brown as eridian carapace and clothing. Not just because, when you can't see color, everything ends up kind of brown. Also because it's eir personal preference.
If ey are Carl's kid, maybe ey inherit his hair texture and wear eir hair in tight braids/cornrows close to the scalp and make shapes in the part lines like how Eridians' grooves in their carapace have significance (ex. Family crest, wedding band, mission crest).
If ey have Carl's hair texture, when ey're a kid, Grace looks up hair tutorials in that infinite catalog of internet that Stratt provided them with. Trying to figure out the chemical composition of hair products so he can ask the eridians to try and make as close of an equivalent as possible for the kid's hair.
