Bladeweave thoughts because i’m romancing Wyll for my Origin Gale playthrough:
- Wyll and Gale take to reading their own romance novels, separate from what Shadowheart and Wyll read together. Gale critiques the writing and cheesy plot while Wyll counters with the emotional depth of the romance. They have a good time lol
- Wyll knows a decent amount about magic, but is definitely more skilled in the Warlock territory of all of it. So it turns into a situation where Wyll will give his wizard husband a lot of magic trinkets and items he finds. Most of them aren’t horribly useful, but he treasures them anyways!
- Meanwhile Gale knows so little about Baldurian politics. He will talk like he knows everything and can solve it on his own, but Wyll knows better than to let him make big executive desicions without thinking about it first.
- Gale has two left feet, this dude cannot dance. Wyll dances with him for the first time and has to explain that no, he’s not laughing at how frequently Gale is tripping over himself, he’s laughing because Gale’s fucking adorable.
- They share a mutual idealistic view of their relationship as “Dashing Knight and his Archwizard Lover” when in reality Gale would miss half his spells, Wyll would fuck up his cool catchphrase, and they’d both look like goobers.
- They enjoy doing little regency roleplays when they’re in bed together, commonly with Wyll as a tired prince/king and Gale as a trusted advisor or a personal mage who’s more than willing to help him de-stress.
- their first time being intimate, Gale hadn’t had sex for a long time due to his Orb and Wyll was very nervous about the infernal changes to his body. But once they found a rhythm the clumsiness was made up for in enthusiasm and passion.
- Gale LOVES Wyll’s horns, especially when he can run his fingers over the base of them and feel all the tension melt from Wyll. Also very good handles.
- Wyll takes time to kiss over the Orb scar every time Gale is shirtless. Especially when fucking him and whispering praises.
- Gale has a thing for being praised, especially with how poetic Wyll is. He wants to know how good he’s doing for his lover!!

I immediately thought of matcha also (I am a matcha snob), and I think he'd go for a cortado (something, something ratios of milk to coffee) and I fully agree with the ginger biscuits and maybe a speculoos biscuit if he's in a mood for very sweet biscuits.
In my heart, I believe that modern Gale would have an entire array of coffee-making options in his kitchen--moka pot, French press, one of those glass beaker drip thingies for pourovers, a conventional drip coffee maker, and a giant espresso maker that looks like a sports car engine from the 60s. He has a milk frother and a tiny blowtorch if you want some caramelized sugar on top of your drink.
(He also has a ton of proper tea-making things and has an electric kettle in his office for emergency tea in the afternoons.)
I'm not exactly sure where the best place is the jump into this conversation, but on the subject of tea, I know there would be some lapsang souchong in his collection.
Now I'm imagining Gale as a tea snob. He's so careful about the temperature of the water, and steep times, and how to be gentle so you don't scald the leaves and end up with bitter tea. He knows so many varieties and the details for each one. He can always recommend the perfect tea for your mood. Need a pick me up? Black tea. Delicate flavour with delicious aroma? Jasmine. Want something calming and soothing? Chamomile with lavender.
Gale almost never adds sweetener to his tea. The experience is about the quality of the leaves and their preparation, why mar that with additional sugar?
In contrast, Tav makes chai by boiling the hell out of black tea, adding milk, sugar, ginger, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, and black pepper and boiling the whole lot again. Gale is appalled, how dare Tav adulterate the tea like that! Until he tries it. And is force to admit that chai is delicious, actually.
