that's an interesting observation of gm dynamics though i wouldn't really know (beyond personal experience with people who are covert waycest proponents). generally i shy away from the general mcr fanbase just because we have very different understandings of and loyalties to the band (erotically speaking). however i did read uhv when i was like 15 and it came off as pretty leaden to me beyond the frank biblical torture nexus. fg very rarely ticks my boxes unforch.

and thank you!! gerard's 'persona' is really funny because in my opinion he so rarely actually embodies it and yet it has permeated so deeply into the public conscience largely because of the fandom's upkeep of that veneer. especially considering gerard's relationship with fame i think it makes for a really interesting dynamic between manufacturer and consumer of The MCR Brand. but i like that he blows. it's crucial to my philosophy that he blows.
