okay official announcement thingy

the Growing Pass Insanity discord server will open on 6/16 and the actual Minecraft server will open on 6/23. This is specifically to give time for everyone to set up characters and backstories before the server is open but new members can join at any time

GPI IS A HEAVILY MODDED ORIGINS BASED JAVA MINECRAFT SERVER

While I’ve participated in a few lore based multiplayer servers this is my first time running one so bear with me and dont be afraid to offer advice when you think it would help :]

Its not gonna be too serious because i most just want to have fun with new and old friends

but the basic story is something has dragged you and people youve never met before into a new place youve probably never been, you could be from any continent, and world, universe, or dimension, but youre here now and survival is non-negotiable. Every time you die no matter what, its canon, but there is no max amount of deaths. Something is bringing you back over and over again.

14+ at the absolute minimum. Romance 16+. Nsfw 18+ ofc. Server will have age roles for safety. There will be a choice to not reveal age but it will not allow you to be in age specific channels

It is actually way better for 100 addicts to get their fix on pain pills than a single person in pain go without. I call this the "Torture is bad" principle. You should be able to get the good stuff forever after a single doctor's visit. If you're worried about addicts fund rehab centers and needle exchanges instead of torturing people.

Not to mention that it's not a binary of deserving pain patient OR undeserving addict.

Many of the people who have significant enough pain to require long term medicated pain management have addiction complications.

And no one is waking up one day, happy and healthy and deciding to start doing opioids for the hell of it. Basically everyone experiencing addiction is also experiencing some sort of pain they're trying to ease.

Addiction is a common comorbidity of pain.

To refuse people pain management treats neither the pain, nor the addiction. It makes both worse.
