Green Bird Children’s Book Review

I received this book via Amazon Kindle for free to review. I wasn’t too impressed with this book to be entirely honest. The grammar was not so great and the story line has been done before. It was almost identical to Are You My Mother? by Dr. Seuss. At some points, it was hard to understand where the story was going and what was going on. I did like that it had the silhouettes of different things and creatures the little green bird encountered throughout his journey. It’s a good interactive experience for children and I think kids would enjoy guessing what each creature is. To me, the ending was very anticlimactic. I thought the little green bird would find his family or something, but it was left very open ended. An ending with more closure would be better, in my opinion. I do like the premise of the story and the interactive features, but there are definitely things that need to be fixed.

Ultimate Prenatal Multivitamin Review

Since I found out I was pregnant last December, prenatal vitamins have been a part of my everyday routine and still are now that I breastfeed. I've tried lots of different brands of prenatals as well, I honestly don’t feel like this brand is any different than any other brand out there. They look the same, smell the same and don’t make me feel any different than any other vitamin out on the shelves.

I've been taking these for three almost 4 weeks now. I feel like if I was pregnant I would not have held these pills down, especially in my first trimester. They have a funky smell to them that I know I wouldn't have been able to stomach. I couldn't stomach any pill that had this odor to them. The only prenatal I've tried that didn't have this smell was a store brand. Which is way cheaper than what they charge for these pills.

Although I didn’t pay for these pills, I feel like the price they’re asking is very steep. I usually pay $12.99 for my normal prenatals and they normally charge anywhere between $19.99-$29.99 for these pills. I would never ever pay almost $30 for prenatal vitamins. Ever. That price is utterly ridiculous.

I’m not saying these pills are terrible because they’re not. They’re just not in any way exceptional by any means and certainly not worth what is being charged for them. I would continue to buy these pills if the price dropped significantly, but that’s about it. For now I’ll just stick to my store brand pills.

Fractionated Coconut Oil Review

I LOVE coconut oil. It’s great for everything. Have a rash? Put some coconut oil on it. Need a great after-shower moisturizer? Coconut oil! So of course I applied to test and review fractionated coconut oil through Tomoson! I was thrilled that I was approved!

I got this oil about a week and a half ago and have used it everyday. The first thing I love about this coconut oil is that it comes with a pump. This makes application and using this oil SO EASY! Before I tried this coconut oil I was just using a tub of coconut oil after my showers. It’s really kind of a pain to reach into a tub of coconut oil and apply it that way. It also contaminates your tub, so you’re leery about anyone else using your oil or using it for any other purpose than to apply it to your body. It’s also not as messy this way.

Another thing I love is that it goes on so smooth. It’s not really thick and you don’t feel like you've just applied a really thick, gooey substance to your body. With other coconut oils I was using I was starting to get oil stains on some of my clothes because my clothes would adsorb the oil because it would go on so thick. This goes on very smooth and absorbs quickly so you’re not getting your clothes oily and feeling sticky or gooey.

I also used this coconut oil on my nipples after my son had gone through a growth spurt and was up seemingly all night nursing. Needless to say my nipples were chafed and sore. So I started applying this coconut oil to them. Within the next 24 hours the pain had started to subside and the redness and swelling was completely gone. The reason this works so well is because coconut oil is a natural anti-fungal so it’s really great for breastfeeding moms for that exact reason. This fractionated coconut oil is no different.

I've seen a lot of people say this makes a great carrier oil as well. I haven’t used it for this purpose but I’m sure it would work well for this purpose.

If there was one thing I had to say I would change about this oil is I would love to have a scent to this oil. I know other people might not but the way I use this oil a scent would be so perfect. Even if it was just a light coconut scent. Really that’s not even something I “dislike” about this product, it would just be an extra perk, this product is awesome without the scent.

Holistic Solutions Norwegian Fish Oil Review

Recently, I applied for a promotion to test out fish oil pills from Holistic Solutions from Tomoson. I wasn’t sure what to expect. Other fish oil pills I had tried in the past hadn’t been that great, so I was suspicious, but thought I’d give it a try. I’m so glad I did!

The first thing that stuck out to me about this pill was the smell. Not fishy smelling at all! I was expecting this pill to be like every other fish oil pill on the shelf and have a terrible fish odor. It doesn’t! The smell is very neutral, it does have a smell but it doesn’t smell bad or good, it’s just there.

Also, the taste, it’s not a terrible taste when you pop the pill in your mouth. Some fish oil pills I’ve used in the past have a terrible taste AND smell, the only reason you take the pills is for the benefits, and you dread taking them in the morning. This one is different, the taste isn’t a taste I would want my food to taste like by any means, but it’s not so bad that I dread taking it. It also doesn’t leave your breath smelling like fish either, or have you burping up fish taste after taking it. After I’ve taken my pill, there’s no way I, or anyone else for that matter, would ever know I’m taking fish oil. No obnoxious or even noticeable smells!

When I first opened the bottle I thought to myself, “Wow! These pills are huge!” They do look daunting, but I assure you, the gel consistency makes them very easy to swallow. They go down very smooth.

Another thing I love about these pills is that they are perfect for breastfeeding mothers like myself! No mercury, GMO free & pure. I don’t have to worry about whether they’re safe or not for my son to be ingesting through my milk. They also are great because I know the Omega 3 fatty acids found in this pill are helping his brain function and grow! These are so healthy for nurslings!

So if you’re looking for the perfect fish oil pill, this is it. I am thoroughly impressed with this pill. I wasn’t expecting it to be this great, and I was taken aback! I am truly grateful for these pills.
