Is the constitution a pro slavery document well I believe originally yes considering nowhere in the first 20 amendments does it have anything abolishing slavery fighting against it or giving Blacks rights.

As well as this none of the men in the document given to us were anti slavery they were essentially pro slavery no change or pro slavery I don’t really care what happens. So I don’t wanna say it’s a pro slavery document but it for damn sure isn’t an anti-slavery document either.

Judicial activism is judicial rulings suspected of being based on personal or political considerations rather than on existing law. It is sometimes used as an antonym of judicial restraint.

Basically Judicial Activism is looking at everything thing through a looking glass to insure that everything is either enforcing the constitution or following it.

While i completely understand the worry of the court "rewriting" the constitution to fit their opinions or biases causing unfair actions behind the backs of the people and like said before that is a legitimate fear.I would refute that thought by saying that is literally the description of a judge "In liberal usage “judicial activism” is when judges deny legislators or the executive the power to do something unconstitutional. But that is what courts are supposed to do, so in that sense the phrase just means that the judges in question showed up for work." A quote from the Nation Review is stating just that that judicial Activism is the job/duty of a judge without judicial activism we have laws made simply because we can or we'd have restrictions or lack of equality simply because one says so. We need people who will keep the constitution in mind when making/enforcing laws or we won't have justice nor will we have equality. So far with Judicial Activism we've seen more good than bad like the ban of segregation in many places. It's all about the big picture and in short Judicial Activism benefits the big picture

Tinker V. Des Moines

The Tinker case was essentially a battle for freedom of speech they were suspended for wearing a armband which had no negative connotation attached and instead of just taking the punishment and continuing the protest their father took it to court and they won their case. Allowing the first amendment to be protected for children in schools.

The first amendment was referred for the ruling of this case. I agree with this ruling for the simply fact that the constitution is supposed to be for everyone correct no matter age, religion, race or gender correct, so why should it be any different for children in public schools as long as it's not hurting anyone or affecting the work of children then in all honesty it shouldn't matter. Freedom of speech is important no matter who you are because who are you if you cannot express yourself.

That’s excellence.

The topic of Gay marriage comes up at every turn but really it should be legal there should be no restrictions on who can marry who.

Congress is currently in the progress of legalizing marriage equality at the moment marriage equality is legal in over half the states of America most being ruled by the Court decision.

No where in the Constitution does it state that it can be done there fore it is within the constitutional limit that congress can in fact make this happen within state and federal laws.

Based upon the article we read it seems the only real "issue" is that they are not benefiting from the sale of marijuana and there excuse to back it up is by using the constitution. But as stated there is the backlash of State vs Federal personally I feel that time changes and the fact that a business is paying it's bills and taxes that it honestly isn't that huge of a deal if it's legal state wise why take it to an unnecessary length but this isn't about my opinion sadly this is about facts. If it's simply the state then the local police in my opinion have nothing to do with it ans they don't have to anything considering the states legalization but then we bring in federal issues. I guess that is hard huh maybe federal agents have the right considering the federal law contradicts the state laws we could have the federal agents take things into there hands and tell people don't get caught, don't tell anyone you got it, and you didn't get it from me kinda like the prohibition. Or like the article says everyone could all jump on the train come to an agreement Federal and each individual state lift up the barriers and let each state decide whether or not they would like to legalize marijuana because like I said many times before this is the "people's Country". So no at the moment Colorado's situation is not constitutional but why not make it so it is.

While personally I may agree with the situation and I feel it betters our country as a whole to welcome in members of other countries and to be tolerant considerate and empathetic to situations. I must say no I don't think he has the right. Looking at this from an unemotional point of view he has no right considering that in the constitution he does not make laws he enforces them puts them into place with the approval of all three branches, he does not the "right" to implement that law/bill without the approval of the rest of the government. It's technically and overstep of power and as I said before it's beneficial it's a great call and I don't appose it but that was the question my opinion of the law wasn't the question it was simply do I believe how that law came to be.

Should the president be able to over step congress. It's honestly a 50/50 he could abuse that power or he could help many people out. More so I think if he should have the ability to overstep congress than the whole approving and decision should be placed in the hands of the people. Quite honestly no one man should have that much power or it become a monarchy but if it must happen and laws beneficial to the people have to be made then why not let the people decide.
