Many of been coming to me saying that the battle I’m fighting has already been won since female toplessness has been legalized in Canada. But I don’t think this is true. The legality of it, I won’t deny, is a huge step towards topless equality. But People these days aren’t afraid of the law. What they are afraid of, is society and what people will think. So what difference does it make if this becomes legalized, when it’s the minds of the people that need changing. This is a social issue more so than a legal issue. And that is why this battle is far from over.
