It's SOOOOO GREAT to find out that a relative made negative comments about me during one of the rarest times I decided to ask for help because I was too sick to take care of myself. Hello, sick nga diba? If I was functioning well and my judgment not compromised at the time, maybe I would've made the better decision of asking for help from my friends instead.

Sometimes we take things or people for granted when they're around all the time, and realize their value when they aren't. You don't know what you got til it's gone, it's true.

Sometimes I marvel at how vividly I remember your nonstop wailing, that first night we brought you home from the hospital, how such deafening sounds could come from such a tiny thing. We all loved you from day one for being so vivacious, so smart, and everyone wanted to spend time with you. I remember exactly how I could always smell you when I go home from school, as you went through your tuyo and egg breakfast phase, and fried chicken phase. How you loved to sing the songs you learned on TV over and over and over in the loudest voice ever, while going through your coloring books, taking a bath, and when being tucked in bed. The years you started kindergarten, elementary, and high school; I was in awe every time you told me about something you did in school that I once went through before. Soon enough you were hogging the computer, was going out on weekends more often than I did, and you became someone I could have long conversations with about anything. I still have not even gotten over the fact that you've graduated from college. And that you flew to the US alone when you've barely traveled. I think I may not have even fully comprehended that you now have a boyfriend. And that you work, not one, but two jobs. And that you've become this really responsible person I can rely on, especially your last few months in Manila before you moved. How are you doing all these on your own? How is it that you're now at this grown-up age doing these grown-up things? You are still a baby. In my mind, you will always be my baby sister. Happy birthday Glec! I love you. I miss you terribly. I hope your day went awesome. :)
