adulthood is just a constant struggle of, āman, i want cookies for breakfast, but I also recognize this is a bad nutritional decision.Ā On the other hand, the only one who can stop me is me.Ā i know that fuckerās weaknesses.Ā i could totally take me in a fight.ā
frog and toad are my two remaining brain cells struggling to keep my horrible body alive
observations from urgent care
- People who exercise a lot get knee injuries from overdoing it
- People who only exercise occasionally get knee injuries from being unprepared for the exertion
- People who donāt exercise get knee injuries from being out of shape
- Maybe knees just suck
Solution: Donāt have knees.
500-Year-Old Body of Man Wearing Thigh-High Boots Found in London Sewer Construction
During the construction of Londonās massive āsuper sewer,ā archaeologists discovered something unusual in the mud: a 500-year-old skeleton of a man still wearing his thigh-high leather boots.
The Museum of London Archaeology (MOLA) announced this week that the skeleton was unearthed on the shores of the Thames, near a bend in the river downstream from the Tower of London.
āBy studying the boots, weāve been able to gain a fascinating glimpse into the daily life of a man who lived as many as 500 years ago,ā said Beth Richardson, a finds specialist who analyzes artifacts at MOLA Headland, a consortium of archaeologists. āThey have helped us to better understand how he may have made his living in hazardous and difficult conditions, but also how he may have died. It has been a privilege to be able to study something so rare and so personal.ā Read more.

Perfect magnets
Fun story: One of the first things I was taught as an astronomy student is that, if you want to be a dick to someone giving a presentation, ask them āand how do the magnetic fields play into this?ā and they will invariably say āfuck you I donāt knowā because no one understands magnetic fields they are black magic.

Magnets are pure bullshit.
Pure utter bullshit. Electromagnetic forces somehow outstrip gravitic forces in strength by an obscene factor, for no reason I can comprehend and it bothers me.
One, that gif showing the Curie temperature is really cool.Ā
Two, you donāt understand, magnetic fields are the bane of my existance and I have a masters dissertation about them. I studied how magnetic fields develop in low mass stars and every single meeting with my supervisor ended in some conversation about how stupid magnetism is.
āOh yeah and this is effected by the magnetic field strengthā¦ā
āBut why?ā
āGod knows, I donāt have a clue.ā
Was literally said to me by a professor who has spent 20 years of his life looking at magnetism in stars.
ALSO:
āDonāt ask why, we donāt know. Maybe magnetism? Who knows anything about magnetism.ā - My Stellar Physics professor when asked about certain processes in stellar formation, something he has been studying for 10 years.
Like we know so little about that itās actually funny.
THE FACT THAT THEREāS PEOPLE WHO ARE AFRAID OF SNAKES MAKES ME SO SAD I MEAN
