Snow left her home, searching for someone to talk to. It had been a few days since anything big had happened and she was starting to go stir crazy. The only good news was that Neal had finally adapted to the strange atmosphere of the place and was quiet. But she had no doubt that the king of death had something else planned for her family soon enough.
She wasn't looking where she was going and bumped into someone. "Oh! I'm sorry, I didn't see you there."

“Funny enough, people have resigned themselves to living in the land of the dead.“ Mombi inspected her fingers closely, ensuring there was no sign of debris. Her manicured look was especially important today– the one day of the year where loving being alone was considered a mortal sin. Mombi took the day of Saint Valentine and made it hers, refusing to feel shame for her solitary lifestyle. Apart from that, Valentine’s day was such an amusing day for the witch; especially now, considering that most of the relationships in their dearly beloved Storybrooke were crumbling apart. Even the woman beside her, the strange creature called Snow White, even she was having trouble in paradise.
"So– most of the movie theaters are still playing old flicks. How about we catch one?”
Snow smiled, being kind to the woman that her husband had so puzzlingly befriended. She didn't understand what it was about mombi that drew David, but she was certain that the woman had a hidden goodness that Snow just hadn't yet observed.
"That would be lovely, how old are the flicks? Unfortunately I haven't had time to become an expert on underworld cinema." Snow did her best to lighten the mood, she knew that the people of the underworld were complex, and she had made it her mission to learn as much about the place as she could, it might come in handy for the labors.

“Neal? Is that really you?” Mary Margaret had hoped that they would find Neal in the underworld. Henry’s father had died too soon, and he deserved more time with Neal. She hoped that they could figure out a way to bring Neal home, Henry deserved a father, even if Emma had moved on. “Have you seen Henry? I’m sure he’ll be thrilled to see you, even under these circumstances.”
Neal stooped by a stream, but looked up when Snow White spoke to him. Water dripped down his face and through his fingertips. He’d taken this moment freshen up and get some of the grime off his nose. “Mary Margaret? Mrs. Nolan? You’re majesty?” he stammered, having never figured out what to call Emma’s mother. “Yeah, it is. And, I haven’t. I…I kinda have kept a low profile. This place isn’t safe.”
Mary Margaret smiled, relieved that she had recognized the man. "Mary Margaret is fine." She looked down at the stream and around the area, unsure what he meant by unsafe. "What do you mean isn't safe? You should come back to town, Henry will be thrilled to see you again. And Emma...I know Emma will be glad you're back."
We Need to Talk || Snowing
Snow looked up at him, heart warming as he closed the distance. “I would never stop loving you.” She interjected before shock and hurt covered her features. “You…Regina?” She felt a stab of pain through her heart, she had known things were bad, but she never imagined they were that bad. “So…what does this mean?”
She looked up at him slowly, composing her features to an expression of understanding, trying to bring her mind and heart in line. Somehow she had pushed David away, she shouldn’t be surprised that he had turned to someone else. If only she had said something sooner. “What do you want to do now?” It hurt more than anything to say that, but if David wanted someone else, if David wanted Regina then she had to try to understand.
“What I want to do now is hold you and tell you that I love you and that I’m a fool and beg for your forgiveness.” Mombi would argue that it was just a kiss and that David shouldn’t feel horrible about it, but Mombi wasn’t like David. David loved Snow and there wasn’t anything he would do to avoid hurting Snow. He loved her with all of his heart and that had never changed.
“I … I don’t know why I did it. I’ve missed you, Mary Margaret, and I’ve felt like I’m losing you. I don’t want to lose you.” He pulled her hands up to his lips and pressed a kiss to each of them before turning his head to lay his face on them. “I can understand if you never can forgive me, I’ll never forgive myself, but there’s never been anyone for me but you and I never want there to be anyone else”
Mary Margaret listened to her husbands words, and relief coursed through her. She watched him, smiling sadly at him. She had never wanted anyone else, she never would, and she couldn't deny the gratitude she felt. She was glad that David still wanted her, she was relieved to hear him saying that it wasn't because he wanted Regina.
Gently, she cupped his cheek, looking at him tenderly, stroking his cheek with her thumb. "There's never been anyone but you, David. You know that. And if you're saying that it didn't mean anything then I believe you. I love you, nothing will change that." She kissed his lips gently, but needily. She needed him, she couldn't imagine losing him.

Snow approached the woman, careful. She knew that Guinevere had it hard, and she understood that it had been a difficult situation with Arthur. Mary Margaret just wanted to help. She wasn't sure if Guinevere was willing to accept that or not. But she had to try, she hated to see anyone suffer in silence. "Guinevere? Do you mind if I have a seat? I thought that we could talk a bit."

Snow had left Neal with blue, she managed to get him out of the house for a night. It was important to her, after learning some of the reasons that things had been difficult for her relationship recently, she wanted to do everything in her power to fix things.
The first thing on her list of ways to reconnect was this, a night for themselves. Mary Margaret had just a few lights on, she had placed candles on the table and made a nice meal for the two of them. For the first time in a long time she was planning to really have a night of romance.
Expressing Doubts
Snow closed her eyes, sighing. “I understand your doubts. I wish I could give you a better answer.” She looked down at her hands, depressed. “You may not be able to trust them with your daughter’s wellbeing but please trust me. I have an infant son, and I completely understand how you feel in this situation. You don’t have to believe me, but I will do everything in my power to keep the children safe.”
“I have found that the most untrustworthy of people are those who ask for trust,” he replied curtly, jaw squared as he folded his hands behind his back. Tilting his head, he inspected her for a moment. People were easy to read, as were the clear signs of stress. “But I’m left with little choice, aren’t I? As a father, if there is anyway I can assist, I will.”
Mary Margaret didn't know how to handle the pressure from Jefferson, she was helpless to reassure him of anything. "I appreciate that. At this point...we need all the help that we can get." She smiled at him, clearly relieved. "If you can think of any more ways we can protect the children, I would greatly appreciate it. For now, the fairies are working on magical defenses."

“Right…I guess I’m just trying to figure out what it will be.” She really didn’t know what David had been feeling. She smiled at him, confused by his expression, but when he finally spoke her eyes filled with tears, and she was reminded of feelings that she had been pushing down for months. All of the little disappointments, the nights when she felt like she was sleeping alone despite the warm body beside her.
All of the things that she had ignored in favor of the better moments came back. She thought it had just been her. She squeezed his hand. “David…I didn’t want to say anything.” She hung her head, swallowing back her tears. “I know I’ve been focusing on Neal…but that’s because I’ve felt so lonely and I thought that maybe Neal was the only thing keeping us together.” She sighed softly, wiping her eyes. “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have said anything. I still love you.”
David’s eyes widened. He felt horrible that she felt that Neal was the only thing keeping them together. He had never felt so sad, except for when she had told him she wasn’t in love with him. That was the only time he’d ever felt sadder than this, he was sure of it. “Neal isn’t what’s keeping us together,” he told her, moving even closer to her, as though needing to be beside her was the only thing that mattered at the moment.
“I love you, Mary Margaret. I’ve loved you since you robbed my carriage. That’s never going to change.” He was now feeling extremely guilty for what ha happened with Regina. He didn’t want to hurt Snow, but he knew it already had. “And I hope it doesn’t change when I tell you what I did…” He inhaled deeply, his face contorting into near pain. “I kissed Regina.”

Mary Margaret sighed, it was worrying to hear about the new additions to their rescue. “I’m worried that we’ll have to sacrifice lives in order to save the ones we came for. I wish Emma had talked about this with us.” She sighed, rubbing her temples. She was very glad that Regina was the mayor once again, it was hard enough to calculate the costs of this endeavor as just a wife, mother, and friend. She couldn’t imagine how much more stressful Regina’s position was.
“I’m prepared to do what needs to be done. Even if it means staying behind myself.” She replied. “My goal is to get my son and my family home safely.” Snow was included in that. “As long as the rest of you get out of here safely, then I have done my job.”
Snow frowned, she didn't like the sound of that. "Regina...we're not leaving you behind. Not a chance." She bit her lip, sighing. "We'll find a way to get everyone out of here, and save as many people as we can." She took Regina's hand, encouraging her. "We'll figure everything out, I know we will. We always do."

Mary Margaret winced at his tone. “If I could change what happened then I assure you I would. But I have no way to fix things…Trust me, I will do everything in my power to ensure that everyone makes it out of this. Emma brought us here to save a life, but that won’t be worth it everyone else doesn’t make it out of here.”
“You can stop defending her already.” The flinch at his tone stuck something within Will, but he wasn’t about to back off. Not now that someone was actually listening to him. “How many people have died that you didn’t drop everything and run to? How many? Because I’m starting to feel like ya only care about yerselves.”
Snow lowered her eyes at his words. "Before Emma did this I had no idea that there was a way to help those who died..." She lifted her eyes to meet his, conflicted. "I care about every one of them...but I can't save them. I've never been able to...this entire journey is about righting wrongs...we're going to fix things."

“What are you doing ringing the bell? You have a key honey!” She smiled, leaning against the door frame and staring out at her husband. “You know, I’m married. What would my husband say if he caught you here?” She stepped aside. “You better come in or else the neighbors will start talking.” She loved how silly it was, almost like he thought knocking on the door would be some sort of surprise.
“Let them talk,” he said, reaching out with one hand and grabbing her by her waist, pulling her against him. He pressed his lips to hers. He was going to be better. He was going to be more understanding of what she was feeling and not be so wrapped up in himself, but he wasn’t going to hold back on his affections for her. Instead, he was going to shower her with them. Even as he kissed her, he held a bright bouquet of flowers behind his back. They were for her. Everything he had had always been for her.
She kissed him, closing her eyes and allowing herself to just feel. They had been trying to reconnect, it was important for them to indulge in affection. Just being in love again was going to save their relationship. She kissed him tenderly, lifting her hands to cup his cheeks. "Mm. Hold on..." She pulled away, stepping back inside the house to comfort Neal who was fussing in his crib. "Let me just get him settled..."
